Hornsby Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 The fact no one else wanted him for HC should've said he was the wrong guy. 100%. Some thought well he could get high level talent. Well he has high level talent and he still stinks.Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk tkbbn and WeeDerkaNaut 2
Hornsby Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Woodson is a horrible coach that no one wanted to hire... and a loathsome human being... It's Indiana... It's Indiana. Will the king attend the football tonight game or is that beneath him? We know he refused to support the women's team. He is the most divisive coach we ever had and like you said a loathsome human.Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk tkbbn and WeeDerkaNaut 2

He was interviewing for HC jobs? Did he make them come to him or was IU the only one pathetic enough to do that? I'm guessing knew he had the IU job in the bag so that was just a power play. thebigweave, WeeDerkaNaut, Hornsby and 1 other 4

I know after he was fired from the Knicks he interviewed for the Kings HC job, Knicks HC job again, and maybe a few other teams. Without Quinn to put in the fix, no one was going to hire him to be a HC again. thebigweave 1

He interviewed to be hired again as the Knicks head coach and was a finalist for the job. When he didn’t get it, he agreed to join as an assistant. He was actually pretty well liked there. Stuhoo 1

The players were not fans (Amar’e Stoudemire was particularly outspoken). The media was what you’d expect from NY media toward a mediocre coach of the Knicks. Fans were joyous at his departure and “meh, whatever” about him as an assistant.

And if you look at the Knicks results over the past 20 years, Woodson’s partial first year and second year were pretty good, comparatively. He had quite a bit of support to get a second run as their head coach. And again, I’m not saying that because I want him to stay, it’s just a fact. str8baller and Stuhoo 1 1

CSP Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Only person I blame for our failures is Mike Woodson. HIS execution was atrocious. Allowing yourself to lose in, essentially, the same fashion for 3.5 years is the absolute most absurd thing I've witnessed. Hornsby, Uspshoosier, IUrocker and 4 others 7

Successful organizations don't normally do that because they have faith that the people they put in the positions will do their job unlike Woodson who doesn't want to do half of his job. Doesn't sound too dissimilar to how some here have said we handled talked with Stevens last coaching search with how many people were supposedly involved. jermhoosierfan and WeeDerkaNaut 2

He uses the same excuses over and over because he's clueless as to what is wrong or how to fix it. Allowing yourself to lose in, essentially, the same fashion for 3.5 years is the absolute most absurd thing I've witnessed. It always looks the same no matter what pieces he has. Stale offense with a few predicable sets. Decent in the PNR. Decent in the high low. Defenses lack of intensity is what kills me more. But his mediocre ball on offense and near abysmal ball on defense. Can’t wait to see who runs the ship next season and what kind of roster we have. Which is a shame because I like a lot of our guys. Popular Post Coach Robby Posted December 20, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 20, 2024 I haven´t really weighed in all that much about this... IU men´s basketball is being run like an NBA franchise. Instead of hoping for good draft picks (HS recruits) we´re throwing $$$ into free agency (transfer portal) and hoping we can come up with a squad. There´s talent on this roster, likely the most we´ve had (especially in the backcourt) but it´s not going to change. We have one recruit for next year. Planning on going shopping again Iḿ sure... The fact that Fife, Matta, and Adam Howard all left or were let go, paints a pretty clear picture to me. I´m the type of person....I don´t care who the coach is...just win. Win games, compete for conferences titles and 2nd weekends. I´ve stated I want Chris Beard. Just my opinion, I know what others think and say no way. That´s fine, I respect your opinions too. Also, IU football gear at school hits way different!!!!!! Let´s shock the non-IU world tonight! tkbbn, bird4par, CSP and 5 others 7 1
