Fire Coach Woodson Thread

The coaching he has received here is pathetic.  Had he stuck to his Duke commitment I guarantee he would have had a much more productive first two seasons being coached up by Scheyer and the rest of their staff.

Yep I think they’d have him in a much more limited year 1 while he actually learns the game. His developmental years in NJ were not spent at a well regarded basketball school and his AAU team, like 99% of them these days, was strictly about exposure and not development. 6’9 kid built like that with a pretty shot… yeah he will be ranked highly. But he seems to have bought his own hype. Doesn’t look anywhere close to what I thought his potential was. We’ll see if he can turn it around I guess. Unfortunate for everyone.

But hes slow footed, can't go left, isn't an explosive athlete and doesn't play hard. That's hard to hide from.

None of our five stats are close to what they were ranked. Tucker isn't all that impressive either. Meanwhile McNeeley is a projected lottery pick.

I am a Calbert and Hulls fan but they all can go unless the new coach wants to retain them

Yea.  Calbert is my all time favorite player, but he has ties to the old guard.

Hulls joined when we were at rock bottom, got his @$$ kicked, and got through it to be a leader of a very good team.  I’ve got a ton of respect for him and hope he can continue here.

From hearing more about it I think Ferguson was the one who screwed it up last time. Hopefully, it was not on purpose but he supposedly said let's get the woman out of the room so we can negotiate not knowing that Tracy was Brad's wife and agent. That rubbed her the wrong away of course

Holy balls. What a massive egotistical butthole, not to mention moron. How did he expect that to go over with her or Brad? That's a world class level of idiocy.

Maybe better coaching in practice but the kid would been buried deep in that bench like walk on style

Not to be a conspiracy theorist, but that reeks of being intentional.

He is as big of a bust as lander but I wonder how some of these guys ever got rated five stars. Was it based on one aau tourney.

He's quite a bit better than KL. I have no clue on Lander, undersized and they had him Top 30 when he reclassed lol

MM was at least a physical specimen.

I don’t think he would have seen the court much there.  Probably figured that out before he decomitted

I am not sure what to think about the MM situation, especially when you look at our recent transfers to other schools. They seem to be thriving under new coaching staffs, I know they are not at power 5 schools, but maybe this could be reflective of the staff's inability to adapt to players strengths, playing them out of position, horrible offensive strategies (still not sure there ever has been one), or lack of accountability?

Not necessarily disagreeing, but Ferguson's generation was raised to believe that women should be seen and not heard. The idea that Tracy could be Brad's agent probably didn't even register with him.
