That will all depend on Today on Cathy Classics - Comics by Cathy Guisewite - GoComics  or AH1971 because when they post rapid fire happens to the page count.

Edit: Did a MOD change my post?

....I think AH1971 asks/uses ChatGPT to do create his rapid fire responses!! lol

Is there a more pointless exercise than logging onto an internet fan forum to tell fans to not dream or have hope? Not sure what that accomplishes. Not like our dialogue influenced the coaching search outcome. If you think it’s unrealistic or silly, feel free to ignore rather than suck joy and rain on parades, lol

This coaching search is literally the only thing IU fans have.

If someone thinks we can’t hire a coach because of whatever reason, okay, but then they may as well give up on IUBB altogether.  If we can’t hire a good coach it’s over.

Obviously you don't know much because I'm for Beard. But coming from the administration side it's just not likely. But you do you

I agree. Great coach and would do well here, but just don’t see it.   Especially if Louisville and UK passed on him.

I still wonder if Beard used a PR firm and addressed/admitted his mistakes, how he’s actively working daily to be a better person, etc, if that would somehow change the perception of him?

There's a better chance that Woodson returns next season that Stevens prowling the sidelines. IU has proven over and over that they can't manage the hiring of a successful basketball coach. I have no confidence that they'll magically get it right this time.

so you're guessing, got it.

If Stevens ends up at IU I cannot wait to quote so many of these downers. It’s okay to be excited about a possibility.

Yeah so listening to all this downers decided to do the old Google search.  What is Brad Stevens's net worth?  Best number that I could come up with is 6 million.  Now 6mil is nice sum but it's not generational wealth.  Stevens signs for 10mil+ per year for his first contract...just imagine what his second contract would be and all the endorsements that he could do.  He would build generational wealth for his family.

True that he did not deserve to be hired, to be retained or to finish the season... but on the other hand, this is 100% his crapfest and at this point, he needs to own it to the bitter end. No sympathy. No soft-pedaling it. Burn it down. TO. THE. GROUND.

His and Buckner and everyone else responsible for Woodson being the coach here.

Does last nights crap show increase the chance of him being out before the season ends, or do you think they’ll just let him ride out the rest of the season to soak in the losses? After last nights performance I can’t decide whether I hope he coaches the Michigan and get embarrassed, or if there’d be no way the administration risks having him deal with the mayhem.

I personally don’t think it’s about the $$ for Brad - more so the timing for him, his family, and if he actually wants the job.

Why are you telling people what they need to do? I can guarantee you that Stevens has a better chance of being the head coach of IU than Chris Beard will ever have.

Chris, this is likely another iteration of AH1971, among other user names.

Writing style of so many of the “contrarian” posters is similar, and then post count and frequency are telling, also. This account was created long ago, had a few posts in 2017 - then all of a sudden shows up now? Deliberate pot-stirrer.

Unless Brad Stevens has a crippling gambling addiction that number is almost certainly wrong. He signed a six year, $22 million contract with the Celtics back in 2013 and then got raise(s) after that.  His salary now isn’t publicly available but I found an article from 2017 that said:

The Cleveland Cavaliers offered Chauncey Billups what is viewed in NBA circles as a below-market salary of $2 million annually for the role of serving as president of basketball operations, league sources told ESPN.

According to sources, the team's initial offer was $1.5 million. League sources told ESPN that $4 million is typically the starting point of what an individual in that role should earn.

So, as president of basketball operations of the Celtics he’s still making millions of dollars a year.
