Depending how long woody goes for, that’s likely the next coach. Woodson inherited a compete dumpster fire, second only to what Crean inherited. It’s going to take some time to develop consistency — like KU and UNC did with Self and Roy.

Right but guys here thought he was Jesus.  Apparently he’s not.  Point is it’s easy to say “just get a guard” on the interweb.  Real life is a bit different.

That's why we have scouting. And some are misses. Some aren't. Timberlake looks like a miss at KU. Knecht looks really good at Tennessee.

Both guys who made it pretty clear they wanted no part of IU as did some others . Just seem snake bit in that department. Guys want to win and play modern basketball not look up at dusty banners and go to nicks .

Just like the Auburn game where we were stuck on like 26 for what seemed like a century, we got stuck on 56. We were up like 56-46 and they beat us to 60.

What system is that.  You keep screaming that we need guards.  Would an A+ guard who can shoot make a difference on this team or not?   A skilled guard would get plenty of opportunities to make his mark.

I’m not ignoring them, just recognizing the fact that one team in a couple decade doesn’t make a great program. Mediocre programs can accomplish  that. Purdue, Illinois, Marquette, and a dozen or more other schools…have had similar teams or runs in that period.  
 

You need to be throwing out a team like that every 3-4 years, or more, to be a top program. We’re haven’t been that for thirty years.

Timberlake made a HUGE mistake going there and it was something that could have been foreseen.  He was going to get stuck behind better players.  If he went elsewhere, he could have gotten a ton of looks and pt.

Yeah, this. We’re not a disaster like we were under Archie. But he’s not knocking it out of the park either. People will say we’re just being negative, but it’s true. It’s year 3 and we’re looking like a fringe tournament team. Three point shooting is non-existent. Weaknesses haven’t been addressed in the portal. In-game coaching is still shaky.

We played the No.2 team in the country even up with .....2 frosh, 2 soph and 1 senior. One starter from last years team. They played 4 upper classmen including a All American center, and 1 frosh. Experience matters.

We were a couple FT's , a made basket, a TO or two, a couple bad calls from winning that game.

Suck it up.
