I'd be curious if Chryst can adapt to a more modern game or if he tries to stick with run dominant ball, but if it worked I wouldn't care. Candle I'd prefer over Hart or Frye. With Candle or Chryst I'd hope we have the money for them to get good coordinators. Artie86 1 Quote

But, I don't share that opinion at all. And that's coming from someone who has had season tickets since 1998. I don't care how old their podcast is. My opinion is based on what has worked with other programs like ours and what has worked in the past. Your opinion is based on nothing, which is why your weirdly fixating on my reference to a podcast. Indiana8585 1 Quote

Candle would likely call his own plays which should leave a bigger pool for the defensive side of the ball which is needed. Candle is a meh hire in my opinion that looks like a home run compared to Hart or Frye. Quote

Oddly enough, the QB coach was HC at Plant High School in Tampa for nearly two decades. Would be nice to try and get that pipeline started back up. Some of our best players under Allen were Plant grads. Quote
SamIam Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Not my top choice but I don't hate Creighton. I like the idea of bringing someone in who has built a program from nothing before. Quote

There’s an epic video of the aftermath. :) Quote
Chris007 Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 We don't want Fitzgerald because of his NW past but we're OK with Hart knowing that Michigan cheated. That's the IU I know and love thebigweave, GoIU8, Loaded Chicken Sandwich and 4 others 7 Quote

Paying 15m to get rid of a bad coach just to give the reigns to a RB coach would really be an IUFB thing. Unless they're counting on saving the money for when Hart needs bought out. Quote

We all know this is the hardest job in FBS, and we need to treat it as such. This is not a job you need to be learning on the fly. Our best coaches and at other programs like ours, have all had HC experience elsewhere before taking the job here. It needs to be a head coach, period. It’s not the guy’s last position that matters. We need a coach with a vision, and some piss and vinegar to see that vision thru. Someone who knows where they are going with the program and how to get there. And won’t blame NIL, facilities, or the cheerleading uniforms. Tom White 1 Quote
