Playing SOME zone might throw off the other team more than we realize. Either way, it's an option that should explored. Home Jersey and HoosierHoopster 2 Quote

I remember 2017 very well, the Indiana State blowout on opening night and then an almost identical game against IPFW a month later Since then I have had the perspective of a win is a win no matter who we play. Not making excuses for the play but this team is clearly still working on things. I thought there were a lot of adjustments to the offense last night and it looked pretty good. Nothing I have seen so far makes me feel any differently about this being a team that really gets it going in conference play. I understand the frustration but man it gets exhausting at times. I'm just excited that our record is exactly what it's supposed to be going into a big game on Sunday and I'm excited to watch. thebigweave, Ngw7183, Joe_hoopsier and 3 others 5 1 Quote

I sat through the Indiana State game. If felt that the season was already over after that mess. I'm happy IU is 3-0. Just not how they've looked. We look awful but I'd rather look awful these games than against better competition. Assembly Call talked about this last night I think. Let's hope this team rises to the competition Sunday. monskisprodigy 1 Quote
HoosierFan1994 Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Not much really to add to the conversation. First 12 minutes of the game it was a nice sight to see. I think IU was up like 13. Felt the starers sat way too long. The rest of the game was meh. Glad to see Mackenzie get some confidence on offense. I assume Sparks still is not 100%. Not saying they looked great, but it was nice to see Kaleb and CJ do something. This team needs. them. Tom White and MemphisHoosier 2 Quote
Popular Post Golfman25 Posted November 17, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 17, 2023 At some point the “rule” has to be — never leave that kid hitting all those threes. There are some players you just can’t help off of. Accept the two and defend the three. ALASKA HOOSIER, ebridges24, J34 and 5 others 8 Quote

We don’t see much of that.As far as last night, I felt like there was less Nail, Slot, Rim and more straight up man to man with the 5 out principles. Our shell drill sucked last night, particularly with Mgbako. It’s crazy because teams are running virtually nothing, just ghost screens to get wide open looks. I don’t have any data to back this up but it does feel like way more of these upsets are happening than usual. We’re well into the double figures and that’s excluding Louisville and Depauls losses because they’re so pathetic it’s not fair to count any of their games as easy wins. MemphisHoosier 1 Quote

But also those extra years kids are getting. A lot more 23-24 year olds where it used to be 21-22 year olds. Doesn't seem like a big change but it makes a massive difference. You'll see a shift starting in 25-26 when everyone with a COVID year has graduated and left finally. Wild to think about but Galloway and Leal each have a COVID year because of their freshman season. I also think your top freshman aren't as good as they were 5+ years ago. Tom White 1 Quote

Great point LCS, it was noticable that Wright St.'s damage came primarily from players that had 3-5 years of collegiate experience (Holden, Welage, Hubergiste, etc.) As has been mentioned by many posters, wish CMW would have picked up an experienced bench guard from the portal to compliment this squad.
