Adam Howard, Liam and Derik all liked Daquan Davis instagram post of him de-commiting from Providence when it was announced.  Maybe because both Liam and Derik know him personally(I know Derik does but unsure if Liam does).  Adam liking it is certainly a telling sign to me that IU very much could be the favorite here

4 star at 81 is not that low.  In a major program (a Providence type player…a loss for them) he could become a glue type player….important for IU.

Respectfully, we have no clue where and what this kid will become. There is no ceiling to these kids just because a few recruiting analysts stated an opinion of where THEY think this kid should be "ranked". 

Glue type player--- sure he could be. He could be a bench warmer, he could an all american. 

Is he one of the youngest in his grades? Has he worked with a SC program before? Is he done growing? Just tons of factors. Regardless of his "ranking", that has no bearing on where and what he could end up.

The simple answer is that he was 5’11 and isn’t a big time scorer. He’s grown some and added muscle since getting to OTE. He has developed over the last couple years. I believe he could be a solid college basketball player.

Who is the highest IU player ever? Most would say Uwe, some say Jeremiah April. 

I am aware that Jeremiah April was listed about 3 inches shorter than Uwe.

I would say Jay Edwards ranks up there, as one of the "highest" players ever.

I would say either Troy Williams, Jamarcus Ellis, Tommy Baker, or Hanner Perea.

The composite isn’t the greatest way to judge imo. On3 sucks and ESPN sucks. 2 of the 4 that make up the composite aren’t great. 247 has him at 89 and Rivals is around 120. Rivals has him trending up.

Overall, the stats are good. The shooting ones are not. Will be an interesting follow and thanks for keeping track Old. Hope the shooting were an outlier.

It looks like Eric Bossi's evaluation of "just enough of a shot maker to keep defenders honest" is pretty accurate.

In hindsight, I wish I wouldn't have posted his stats.  He does not have a formal offer and Woody has not seen him play in an actual game and he may never receive a formal offer so I'd just caution everyone to save the fretting and stewing until he actually receives an offer if one is ever extended.  Over and out.
