Malik still has work to do to learn how to avoid fouling (though refs are just crap tn), and JG has been up and down, but we played a Hell of a lot better, tougher, quicker, more in your face ball during our strong run with JG and Race. Agree wholeheartedly. Loyalty at the expense of the group isn’t loyalty HoosierHoopster 1 Quote

But it was really irrelevant tonight since JG was a no go. The amount of minutes that Ya played Thompson over JG at Minnesota was puzzling, but we haven't had a chance to see how Woodson will manage it since the five game win streak. HoosierHoopster 1 Quote
Whoozhers Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Greenberg was right. The extended defense made us throwing the ball all over the place and caused us to be way outta sync. No 10 second calls but generally only 18 seconds to set the offense all night. Recipe for disaster. Quote

In a game like tonight, JHS more than likely would have been on the bench for long streches. But JHS wasn't playing well and Galloway -- who isn't a natural point guard anyway -- was in foul trouble all game. Good point, no pun intended Quote

HoosierAloha Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 We're tied with Maryland in our "up" year while they have a first year head coach. We have far more talent than they do. Why do we continue to just be happy to get the ball across half court? Why doe we continue to toss the ball around the gym? Why do we continue to have butterfingers on loose balls and rebounds? Adillac Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 I know we won 5 games in a row and a couple on the road and looked real solid….but this is still the 1-4 team too. We are a weak team. Maryland is not good. They don’t have any good shooters and their defense is soft and yet we looked confused, flustered, and weak. TJD and Jalen, our two star players looked scared and not ready to play. That kinda tells you that this team isn’t likely going to do anything except maybe eek into the tourney. This team doesn’t have the mental ability to play with expectations or pressure. Will be hoping for a hot AH on Saturday. Beating ranked teams at home is about the only thing this team is likely to achieve this year. Quote

Yep 0 reason a player should have more shots than TJD unless that player is on fire Quote
Five Prime Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 A road loss...shocker. If Kopps minutes went to someone else this team would be better off. Banksyrules and HoosierAloha 2 Quote
DChoosier Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Only 3 guards played tonight. Trey 2-4 Bates 1-5 JHS 1 - 14 4 for 23….Not beating anyone when your guards are 4-23. Napleshoosier and NVFalcons1990 2 Quote
