On postgame radio show, Mike Woodson says Jordan Geromino has a dislocated finger and was unable to play. Woodson said Geronimo told him before the game that he wouldn't be able to go.

Honestly, this one was a little more fun without TJD.  Trayce would have been automatic against Elon and would have probably saw some players defer to him.  Instead, we had everyone contributing on offense.  Happy for Gunn, Banks, and Duncomb.

Not impressed. Basketball IQ is awful. Plain awful. Hustle isn’t consistent. Some nice offensive plays. Team and individual defense was just plain bad. We are way too athletic to play D the way we do. Too nonchalant on O and on D, and with the ball.

Reneau forgot he has great footwork and just tries to shove guys with his off-arm.

Fun game from an entertainment standpoint. Not so great from the WayneFleek Eye Test.

Bates and Reneau need to learn to play with real intensity consistently.

Logan Duncomb has some innate ability and plays hard, but he runs out of gas physically

Sloppy play and lackadaisical…Both of which have plagued this program now for years. But we won, so we won’t argue with winning…

1.  In limited time this year, Banks is shooting 67% and has 33 points in 59 minutes.  Gunn is shooting 37% and is just 2 of 15 from three.

2.  Banks is more physically ready than Gunn is.

3.  An aspect that often gets overlooked is the ability of a player to draw fouls.  Banks plays to contact and gets to the line....a lot.  Shot 184 free throws his senior season.  And in just 59 minutes of play this year, he has shot more free throws than anyone on this team except TJD and X.

Duncomb I thought showed he belonged.  He should be capable of providing spot minutes in the Big Ten IF the need ever arises.  That something prior to this year had yet to be shown.

Freshman tonight:   76 minutes, 19 of 36 from the field, 3 of 8 from three, 4 of 6 free throws, 45 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists.

True sophomores tonight:  38 minutes, 8 of 9 from the floor, 2 of 2 threes, 0 of 3 free throws, 18 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists

Totals from freshman and sophomores:  114 minutes, 27 of 45 shooting, 5 of 10 threes, 4 of 9 free throws, 21 rebounds, 14 assists, 63 points.

Don't know how to feel about this game. Did what they're supposed to do. 

1) Bates' defense is awful. He's got to be better. I really like his shot. But too many times tonight he got beat. 

2) I'm to the point if this team comes out flat against Iowa, throw Duncomb, Banks, or Gunn in there at times. Thought those three really gave energy when needed. The starting 5 outside of Kopp came out so flat. 

3) I know there are so many minutes to go around but I wish Malik could've had more minutes tonight. This is the kind of game to get his confidence back up. Who cares about his fouls tonight. Let him play. 

4) Hope JG is okay. Don't need anymore injuries. 

One more game then a nice break for the team. I still can't get a read on X's injury. I'll assume he's out until further notice.

Saw Woodson say something during his postgame presser as if some guys weren't playing as hard as they should. If so, sit them. The starting 5 came out so flat outside of Kopp. They looked like zombies. Just hope this team can figure it out. Still believe in this roster.
