I said at the beginning of the year that I thought we were over rated. End of last year we were around 50 best team in country. Had a decent recruiting class come in but not a lot of help with shooting. The good news we got a lot of guys back . The bad news they weren’t very good.

I don't mind them having fun from time to time but they have show up and want to play.

I think we can turn it around but I was with you prior to the season starting. We didn’t address our shooting needs and the returning team was only 9-11 in the conference last year and for all the talk of a late season resurgence (I agree we looked better) we were 2-2 in our last 4, 3-4 in our last 7, 5-5 in our last 10 (ie we weren’t setting the world on fire).

That being said I thought we would have been more competitive against AZ/RU/KU as I expected Race-Trace would be a handful for nearly every opponent. That has not consistently been the case, X has been up and down and neither of JG/Bates have evolved to the next level. Hopefully at least a couple of those things change or we will be a bubble team at best. Still hoping for 12-8 in conference and a 5-6 seed but who know.

I agree, I want them to have fun, but not at the expense of playing hard and winning some darn games. 

It should be all business until they prove they have some darn grit…and can win games outside of Bloomington. 

Back to back nationally televised butt whoopings. 22 turnovers, 50 pts allowed in the paint…first 20+ pt loss as a ranked team since 2009. No fire, no leadership and no identity!

Nearly 3 weeks (19 days) until we play anyone (yes, I’m not counting Elon or Kennesaw State). Not the best draw that our next decent game is @ Iowa.

That game would’ve been infuriating if The Phog wasn’t so cool and the Kansas fans weren’t so damn nice. The trip was worth the long drive and the beatdown. 10/10 would recommend.

TJD is an enigma. He will be in the record books as an all time great at IU. On the other hand I’ve never seen a “great” player totally be a non factor as much as Trayce. The guy can dominate or totally disappear.

I would he extremely surprised if that happens. They may get more run but mainly because we're playing Elon and Kenneesaw.

JG got 14 minutes today. 4 pts 1 rebound. MR got 11 minutes and produced 6 points 3 rebounds and 1assist. I doubt we see much of Banks and Gunn in the meat of the conference schedule.

It'd be nice to see. Bobby Knight had this great quote about how good of a motivator the bench was... Was one of his greats.
