Little surprised this game isn't earlier. I think they play at the same time next season. Students will most likely be gone. I feel at Allen and Assembly Hall the students are a huge part of their homecourt success.

Well I don't see us winning. I just hope to keep it close. Kansas is good. They are VERY good at home. They will of course double TJD as everyone does. Woody has to make the right adjustments to get TJD moving around more and guys moving if he's doubled.

This is such an interesting matchup because both teams seem to have a major advantage. They have virtually zero chance at stopping Trayce if they don't double him but I have no idea how we're going to stop their wings.

Oh they'll be doubling him. That's why we have to get it to him on the move, some high low with Race, when doubled need him to find the open shooter and most importantly and most unsure of shooters got to make shots.

I'm not concerned about how this game goes either way. It's December and none of the teams we want to compete against are going to be the same in March. This is about learning strengths and weaknesses. And, hopefully improving the weaknesses. Of course I want to win, but losing is not the end of the world. As far as JHS is concerned, even if he plays he will not be at his best because of the time he has missed. Getting him back on the court will be great as long as it doesn't cost him time later in the year. I always worry about back issues.

I am concerned about each and every game. For instance, against KS...

Does IU match up well with Kansas?  How is TJD's back? Can IU handle TJD being doubled?  Is XJ back in fighting form?  Is Race going to handle his assignment on defense?  Is Race going to break out on offense?  Can IU's defense stiffen especially against KS's wings?  Does KS's PG turnover the ball and get stopped?  What did JHS look like in the practice held Thursday?  Will JHS play in mid-season fashion or will he be somewhat rusty?  Can IU take this game played on the road at KS? Will the bench excel?  Will 3's drop in the bucket?  What is up with TJD's off hand?  Will Woody tell the zebras what he is really thinking?  By how many points will IU win?  Will Indiana ever start winning regularly on the road against very good teams?

It would help. Unfortunately it is really dependent on XJ being able to pull up and knock down that jumper. He’s been so erratic.  
 

I’d love to see us put it all together at Kansas but won’t fret if we can’t. Tough environment.

Tomorrow is great opportunity. A win like this would separate this year's team from past IU teams that could win against great teams at home but never away. So far we're 1-2 away from AH this year. A win @ Kansas would prove that we are very real players in college bball this year while simultaneously telling the doubters to "shove it."

I'm hoping TJD look more spry as well with a week between games. Self's all time record at Phog is 292-16, so obviously a win under any circumstance would be remarkable. He literally has as many BIG 12 titles as losses there. I don't think there's another coach all time that would be able to match conference titles to home losses.

I believe this one comes down to being able to defend without fouling, not allowing runs, and making them pay for how they defend the post.

It would be great to get some off ball action when the ball enters the post as I think Race fed off those easy buckets last season and it would give Kopp, Johnson, Bates, and others that much more room to shoot or drive.

It seems the handful of times we’ve had good runs against quality competition this season have come from making threes. I believe that’s in part because our defense hasn’t been able to string as many stops together without fouling.

As someone above mentioned, a great opportunity this weekend.
