Cautiously extremely optimistic for three primary reasons:
  1. TJD is way too quick for Nunge.
  2. Our depth.
  3. Colby Jones will either be out or limited.
Hope Jones plays. Want this to be a true test, with no caveats, to see where we are at this point in time.

The computers and selection committee won't care whether he plays or not so I don't. Just win.
I don't care what they care about tbh. I want an opponent at full strength for my own assessment reasons. Not always but early in the season when trying to gauge what you have it's better to not have any "yeah, buts". JMO

I just want to win and don't care if a team has all 5 starters injured.

Clearly my point was missed. Of course I'll be happy with a road win but I'd be more excited/happy/confident to get one against the team with everyone at their disposal especially a key player.

Last non conference road win for IU?   2011?

Yes, the win at NC State during the 2011-2012 season. Here are the other nonconference road losses since then:

2012-2013: No road nonconference games

2013-2014: At Syracuse 69-52

2014-2015: No road nonconference games

2015-2016: At Duke 94-74

2016-2017: At Fort Wayne 71-68 OT

2017-2018: At Seton Hall 84-68, At Louisville 71-62

2018-2019: At Arkansas 73-72, At Duke 90-69

2019-2020: No road nonconference games

2020-2021: At FSU 69-67 OT

2021-2022: At Syracuse 112-110 2OT

Besides the Fort Wayne loss, it's not as bad as it sounds, IMO. IU plays a lot of neutral site nonconference games.

Hey at least the last two have gone to OT. WE ARE ON THE VERGE!

well when the fans don't hold a coach accountable, sometimes the FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION SCOOPS UP ONE OF THE ASSISTANTS SEAN
