Adillac Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Ofc I'm biased but...at IU he'd be guaranteed (pretty much) the starting PG spot, ball in his hands for the start. And he'd likely have a top 25 caliber team around him and the best basketball fanbase behind him on social media and at the games. At UK you'd probably be fighting for the top spot with another top 40 guard and you'd be surrounded by almost exclusively freshmen and sophomores. Plus, Rupp arena is a drafty old hollowed out shoe box and AH is, well awesome. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

I think a sophomore Cupps would have something to say about that. Adillac, ALASKA HOOSIER and J34 3 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Kentucky already, Alabama this weekend, Maryland next weekend and no other offficials scheduled yet. All big spenders in on this one. Curious if we can get traction. Calipari, Oats and Woody recently at Stepianiac. Quote

From stuff I have read we seem to be firmly in the mix maybe without being considered the favorite. J34 1 Quote

But they did beat us for Kaiser, DHS, and the Queen recruitment isn’t over. So Maryland is no slouch. But I’ve heard Uk, IU, Alabama for a while for Fland, but Maryland getting the official adds another element. lillurk 1 Quote

It's tougher to beat Maryland for kids that are from that region. Quote

After he visits with Nate Oatsand his staff he may be done with visits. Fland has cancelled next weekend's planned visit with Maryland so his is a huge opportunity for the Tide to focus on the high-scoring guard.” lillurk 1 Quote

I don't think it's good to be top heavy with freshmen if we want to win at a high level. hoosierbgh and mookied39 2 Quote

Popular Post Stuhoo Posted September 26, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 26, 2023 Here's what I love about this recruitment: On September 13th, the Fland family and his high school coaching staff set this up in the Archbishop Stepanic High School home gym so that Boogie could have the ultimate comparison: There you have it: each of the top three coaches got a 45 minute segment to be themselves in a basketball coaching context on the same day, without the glitz and glamor of an official visit. SO SMART! Because all I'm hoping for with our staff is the ability for them to rise and fall in direct comparison with our recruiting competition. And the fact that we have been on the rise since September 13th speaks a lot to me. Artie86, HoosierCoop, Hollywood Mike Miranda and 8 others 11 Quote
