Michael Penix is Very Good At Washington

Seems like he's betting on his future. If he can stay healthy for two full seasons, seems like many of the concerns about his health may go away.

Even though he's played five years, he's still only 22.  He'd be 23 by the time the draft rolls around next year.  Considering most QBs redshirt in college or are held back for compeititive advantage prior to high school, that's not too old to enter the draft.

I only started watching the UW-Texas Alamo Bowl 15 minutes ago but it looks like Texas used NIL cash to pay off the refs.
Penix throws a deep pass and his receiver was blatantly grabbed by the shoulder and pulled down but……no call.

UW should have benefited from a roughing the punter call but they called running into the kicker which is only a 5 yard penalty (ie no first down) . Announcers agreed it should have been roughing.

UW guy fair catches a punt, is taken down but…....no call.

Kind of a joke.

Insane. It’s so bad it’s almost funny.

Did not know this: Bomani Jones puts up a chart of the top 17 NIL valuations across football and basketball according to ON3 and hanging out at #13 is Michael Penix Jr. Basically the same valuation as Marvin Harrison Jr.
I guess that transfer decision worked out all right.
