MemphisHoosier Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Not to derail the thread, but are we projecting any of our 'Covid Juniors' e.g. X, Rob, Parker, Miller, Durr, and Race to come back for their Super (Super) Senior Year's? In some cases this will be their age 24, 25 season so I can understand the desire to move on - but keeping 2-3 immediately plugs some of the roster holes for next season. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 15, 2021 Author Posted December 15, 2021 I'm suitably impressed. Halftime score 38-23 and Banks has 22 of the 38. He scored 19 in the 2nd quarter and didn't miss a shot. 4-4 on 2s; 3-3 on 3s; 2-2 FT. lillurk, 323SGrant, Stromboli and 4 others 7 Quote

Long, interchangeable, tough with a high bball iq. Not a sunshine pumper, just an optimist. The realist part of me, says this might be our last chance to get it right! Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 15, 2021 Author Posted December 15, 2021 78 - 58 Fayette County defeats Luella. I have Banks finishing with 32 points, his third consecutive 30+ point game and he sat out the entire 4th Q. I have him with 12-16 FG; 5-7 on 3s; 3-4 FT; 5 reb; 2 asst; 2 stls; 1 blk. 8bucks, HoosierHoops1, ray and 4 others 7 Quote

He has the mentality of a star, which is great to see. Fayette Cty plays Wheeler the week after Christmas and that game will be a great test for him. They have a ton of talent and a ton of size. Doubt the game will be close, but I really want to see him against their size. Class of '66 Old Fart, lillurk and Stuhoo 3 Quote

lillurk Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 I think he may be able to contribute next year as a play finisher: spot up 3s, dunker spot work. By the time he leaves I think he can be a high-level shot creator for a 4/combo forward. Quote

Having one of Kopp and/or Stewart come back would be very helpful on the perimeter. We will see. Quote

cthomas Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 The players may be able to return but the question for Me is if CMW wants them back. Probably going to be some hard conversations once the season is over. jk34 1 Quote

Not really a big deal as I'm sure we'll have that many defections out, if not more. DChoosier and Joe_hoopsier 2 Quote

Teams who had seniors last year that stayed with their team this year were allowed to be over the 13 limit for this year only. If Al would of stayed at IU there could of been 14 scholarships players for IU this year but since he transferred he counted against Providence scholarship numbers Banks is on a roll right now. I’m guessing he gets a little bump in the next rankings lillurk, go iu bb, DChoosier and 3 others 6 Quote
