If you told me that Williams was the floor of what this cycle yields I’d just go ahead and pour a celebratory drink now and not worry about it again. He’s really good and would do incredibly well here. I know he’s one of USPS’s guys and I’m with him on that one.

Yep, terrible fit, his career timing and IU’s timing don’t make sense to me, wears out his welcome everywhere.

Also elsewhere in the thread Tyme suggests he thinks Cronin and Cig are similar temperamentally and that’s what Dolson’s looking for. He’s definitely wrong on temperament and I think he’s wrong on the second part two (even setting aside football/bball differences, at IU especially).

Good lord lol. I’ve never once seen Cig be adversarial toward the media, his players, or his staff. Mick can do all 3 over his morning coffee and not think twice.

We need a coaching hot board updated daily based on results. For example:

 

-Bruce Pearl - goes to the bottom of the list after an embarrassing home loss. OTOH…

 

-Brad Brownell - catapults into the top 3 after beating Duke 

 

-Chris Beard - stays in the “maybe” pile after barely squeaking by an average LSU squad. 
 

It’s the only way we’ll get this hire right.

Its nice that he’s not a sitting head coach; he won’t have any scheduled press availability until after the season for BOS and can probably otherwise “no comment” on background or just not respond otherwise.
