You massively overrate this job. DeVries is an excellent coach. I don't believe it's him, but if it is I'll be happy. Proven track record, can recruit talent, has elevated the program wherever he's gone. And has a cool name. Maybe not an A+ hire but I'd give it a solid B. Certainly raises the floor immediately at IU. Who knows what the ceiling would be, as he's not been at a high major program long enough to establish a tournament résumé.

This. As a fan base, the bold is our biggest barrier to reality.

One comforting thought about Devries:

if we are indeed down the list and in a scramble to grab him now that his season is over, I feel supremely confident that if we want him, we will get him over WVU and Iowa. And he’s a great “last resort” who would have us winning sooner rather than later.

The alternative is that Scott has someone better already and we are in great shape.

Either of these outcomes would be a fantastic place to be sitting in any coaching search, at any time, bar none. So to summarize, we’re sitting pretty.

I did just hear we are kicking the tires on Jack Keefer.  Best recruiter Indiana has ever seen and given all the other crazy info it may have some legs until proven otherwise.

Careful my friend, you’re gonna have insiders threatening to leave the board.

Is that a bad thing? The amount of misinformation spread about Stevens spanning 4 years and 2 different coaching searches is mesmerizing. At what point do you start to pick better friends lol.

When you wish upon a star.  Makes no difference who you are.  Anything your heart desires.  Brad will come home to you.

If your heart is in your dream.  No request is too extreme.  When you wish upon a Brad, as dreamers do.

I think Rabjohns burned some bridges with the school during Woodson's tenure too.  If I were the AD, I would cut quite a bit of the access to the guys who have to make a living off Indiana sports clicks.  I think that Woodson was an @$$ and deserving of all the criticism, but if you are the school you can't have all the parasite sites bad mouthing your coach and frankly I think those sites are more useful when they aren't a mouthpiece for the school.

The Hoosier Hysterics would be DOA if I were Dolson too.

Why isn’t it apparent that Dolson used Brian Evans and the Hoosier Hysterics to get out his message on Woodson?

who was the other guy in the room in the infamous meeting with Eric where woody cancelled fan camp and the gif tournament?

He leaked Yogi's announcement when he wasn't supposed to.  Mama was not happy.

Interesting. In your opinion, why is the IUBB job overrated?

See some of my discussion in the last few pages. I don't want to type it again lol.

The fans tend to see it from a fan's point of view rather than a coach's.

I worked in Lawrence schools back when Odon and crew went through.  Fun times and always could get the skinny on about anything basketball related.

Because the upside is exponentially less than the downside with our level of patience and current state of the program.  Someone can hit the lottery, sure, but it will be a massive undertaking to shift the culture.
