People expect the GM of the Celtics to call a formal press conference during his down week to more forcefully say he’s not taking some college job the message board crew is convinced about, because texting a reporter isn’t good enough.

I don't think he's coming but you have to admit that Goodman Tweet is pretty weak. Field of 68 whom he tagged said "sources" then he said Stevens said he is not a candidate but then his quote is about the Celtics, and doesn't mention IU or anything about coaching.  Also the timing of the Tweet is coincidentally coinciding with the bombs dropped here? So there seems to be a lot of bs flying around by donors or other people these guys are talking to and why? What's gained by lying about this? And if everyone here are trolls, seems like they would drag out the trolling a bit longer. So a very odd situation regardless.

They hate us because they think we're the reason Woodson won't be coaching here anymore. Only thing that makes any sense. They want the next hire to fail so they can remind us how we really didn't have it so bad with Woodson.
Or they were sent to be a smokescreen themselves....nah...definitely trolls who's #1 goal is self-righteous grandstanding.

Dusty will deliver Crean results (maybe) and this fan base will run him off.

I've probably missed it since this place is a cluster, but who is your preferred candidate? And you can't say Mike Woodson.

I’m a 54 year old (divorced) double major who is a die hard IU fan. I’ve tweeted maybe 4 times (last time in 2016) none about IU basketball.
Honored I occupy this much space in your head. Honored really.
He may be wrong. That's possible. We all agree you post like him. So that stinks. Sorry about your luck.

Spent a lot of money going to the Bahamas to get cucked by Woody

I go to an away event a year, the first being the Great Alaskan Shootout when we bowed out to Dwayne Wade. Always have. East Coast Millennials with an opinion who don’t have a clue about this storied program always gives me a kick.

Wade

Cronin

Don’t need to over complicate things

Did you still believe in Woody when we were losing by 30 to Louisville or did you only jump ship after losing by 25 to Illinois?

Because he’s not having press conferences. He’s not coaching this time around. That’s why the Goodman report is significant. Brad put out a statement to say no thanks. It can’t get more clean than that

Brad put out no such statement.  Goodman did based on “sources” one of which might be Brad.  With today’s technology, Brad could easily put out a statement direct from him.  He did not.

I’m not part of the cool kids club here. I don’t frequent message boards enough to get a persona. But you are a miserable person. Maybe just a good troll. But it really doesn’t matter. Some people are just miserable and have a hard time finding joy in life. That’s you, I feel for you, brother. Hope life gets better for you.

Miserable person? Let me guess you’ve rooted for IU to lose just to spite your face?

Show the text.   Stevens could easily do a number of things without a press conference.  Grab a reporter in the hall and go on record in s recorded interview stating that he is not interested in the IU job.  Issue a written statement and send it to media for publication.   Or tweet something himself.  Etc.  He did none of this.

Gee I wonder why AH’s first and second wives left… he certainly has plenty of vigor. But is that only reserved for arguing?

First wife married young, had kids, stayed in it too long. Such is life.

Couldn’t be happier with my wife now.

One day you’ll touch grass and understand.

I’m not sure what that means. I’m a simple man. You go out of your way to be contrary. You’re like the guy who roots against the hero because you’ve never been the hero. So when **** goes bad, you’re there to say, see? I told you. The last time you went out with good friends and had a good time was….likely 30 years ago.
