I listen to things people tell me all day. I have not been told anything different from my sources but they haven’t said much in the last two weeks. But other people are telling me that we are progressing with someone else. I don’t know if I’m the smoke screen or they are. With a three weeks to go I just don’t know.

Imo, I dont think bs has said fully "no" to iu.  The sale of the majority portion of the Celtics is likely down to 2 bidders at this point and should wrap up sometime in March.  If the highest bidder isn't pagliuca, then there will be a new controlling majority owner.  You can't tell me a billionaire will let wyc control the Celtics as governor until 2028 as a minority owner.  Someone foreign to the organization may also want their own executives, despite bs being one of the best. Especially with luxury tax challenges ahead.  It would be short sided to not keep iu as an option until the ownership/leadership is finalized.  If its status quo with the Celtics ownership, then the percentage goes way down.

We need to move on.  He wants the job or he doesn’t.  If he does he would’ve said yes by now.

There’s no way Steven’s would accept the job with Indiana still having two weeks left with regular season and conference tournament play. He has to much respect for NBA lifers, coaches, and for the Celtics organization to do so. If Brad accepted the job a week ago and it’s made public, this does nothing but distract the current team/coaches at Indiana.
