Yeah, I truly don't think the Archie hire was a miss at the time. He was the hottest name in coaching circles. He just didn't work out it happens.

Now....Mike Woodson was a terrible hire and Quinn Buckner sucks.

still playing the part of steubenhoosier during his "exile"
There's a thread for that.

He didn't specifically say Dolson but he said "I know the person making the decisions at Indiana. I speak, personally, to the very, very select few people who help make the engines go at Indiana. It isn't my opinion. It is a factual statement: Brad Stevens is not going to be the next coach at Indiana. If you think that or you heard that or holding onto it. You are Incorrect. You are being lied to."

That was the exact quote he said, plus a little more just saying the same thing a different way basically.
He most likely won't be and neither will may. We missed our chance on may. Go get Drew or Cronin. I'd say beard but I don't want to start that discussion back up.

Not to harp on Rabby but in what world did people think that Mike Conley wasn't a big-time recruit? He had scholarship offers from every school imaginable. I remember officiating his AAU games and every coach under the sun was there.

That whole thread today was weird. He just randomly throws out a Danny Hurley quote and says something to the effect of "offense wins championships" and started a big debate, and then replied to like 15 different comments, further fueling the discussion.

Just thought it was really funny. His phones must be dead silent today.

A real shame Mike Davis sent him those letters.  How do you mix up Mike Conley Jr and Sherron Colllins?

Not that I have heard unless he is combining his money with the Cook family but if that is the case their still on board last I heard. They have been quiet for the last week or so.

So everyone who doesn't believe RTZ roots for the bad stuff? I want BS to be the coach, but I don't believe in 90% of what message board insiders say, no matter the message board. Especially when evidence and logic is to the contrary. No offense meant on that, but getting wrapped in unlikely conspiracies doesn't mean certain fans root for the bad stuff.

I think it's more of a subset of those chomping at the bit to say "I told you so" rather than rooting for bad stuff

I don't remember who told me but I don't remember believing them but someone said we threw 12 million at him and he said no.

Thanks. I’m just trying to connect the dots here with everything.  I’m still hopeful it’s Stevens, but if not, I’m thinking of non-current college coaches … Wright, Donovan (don’t think it’d be him), etc.
