The earliest I see a hire being announced is the weekend of the first/second round of the NCAA Tournament. Given the length of the search, I would say the announcement is made 24-48 hours after the season ends for our new coach. I think Archie was announced a week after his season ended. However, they had just fired Crean right when the tournament started. Pretty sure Dusty May accepted the Michigan job the day after FAU's season ended last year.
