General Coach Candidate News

15 people would have to turn down the job before either one of those guys is given a second look.  They aren't real candidates beyond a message board.  
Stevens said no, but May, McDermott, Cronin, Williams, McCollum, McMillan, Few, Oates, Jay Wright, Shaka Smart, etc.  The list of coaches you approach before on of those goes through candidates that would not say no.  Heck, it wouldn't surprise me if Alford is higher on the list than either of those guys.
Brownell and Beard are candidates only within message board speculation.  It's not real.

What are you all even talking about?  How delusional are you??

We're Indiana fuggin University.  We run college basketball.  I mean, even the rumors of us hiring the GM of the NBA champion seemed real enough that he commented on it.  We've got massive NIL, best facilities in the world, most intelligent fans.  

And you're all trying to hire coaches from tiny schools?  They're not like us.  Some coach from Iowa State?  Where even is that?  Drake?  That's a Canadian singer.  Clemson?  Do they even play basketball there??

All I'm saying is we deserve the best.  

For the first time in my life, having a hot sister is paying off.  She attracts rich dudes and this one has connections.  Rumors has it that UNC knows that we're on the prowl for a new coach and they know they're not as good as us.  They're going to give us their coach.  I think his name is Hubie Brown or Davis or something.  I'm sure you guys know him.

So there you go.  Search szn is over.  Give it a couple days, I hear Hubie is a big Presidents Day fan so expect the signing on Tuesday.  Probably 3:30.

I'm totally on board with this. Also helps with irritating Illinois because they hate him. So taking Brad Underwood or hiring Bruce Pearl would make for some great game day environments with them.

I don’t think we are hiring Brownell and not sure where you got that from my post.  I’m just discussing the idea because it’s fun to do.

If we're not a good enough program anymore, where we can't get a Stevens, May, Pearl, Oats, Drew, Golden, TJ, or McDermott(maybe few more), then we've solidified ourselves as "once a blue blood" program.

The money to upgrade facilities where needed?

If we can’t get this level then you just have to go NFL coach route. Pick the next up and comer - McCollum, Schertz, DaVries and it’ll be not stop 4 year cycles until you hopefully hit.

I don’t think the board is imploding. I think the consensus is that Brad brownell would be a very disappointing hire if it happened.
