Thanks for the info. If I’m tracking, Brad is plan A, May is plan B or beyond. May has all the leverage in the world to negotiate with Michigan right now but he will not do that because he wants to roll the dice in the chance that interest and focus from IU falls to him? 

is that realistic?

I think so. Dusty waiting to extend puts pressure on Michigan to pony up, makes them sweat and probably ends with dusty getting more money. 

If Scott really thought it would get to dusty, he wouldn't have announced Woodson's retirement until end of season to prevent Michigan from pushing for an extension, IMO

I'm thinking we can go higher than Michigan and more years if he waits and of course, we miss on option 1.

I know that Rabjohns is typically more vague and guarded, partially because he has to be but also because it pays to keep people coming back for more, but what has his vibe been about Stevens this time?

question for the peegsters I guess but just wondering if he is hearing the same things our insiders are, or if he is giving them and weight.

Dusty’s response in the post game really was a master class in putting pressure on his current employer while clearly keeping the IU option open. If it does go beyond Brad, this will be interesting. I also wonder about leaving a job after one season. I don’t know Dusty personally at all, but it doesn’t seem like something he would do on the surface.

Guys. I’m 44 and I’ve been a diehard fan since I was about 16.  My oldest boy is 18 and I force him to root for the Hoosiers.  I’m starting to count the years, lol.  We need to nail this hire.  I don’t even need #6. Just want to be in the ballpark.   Have a competitive team that dances almost every year.  Is that too much to ask?

Not too sure, i know he was keeping tabs on the job opening last year, obviously before Kentucky came calling but haven heard anything I've been able to verify on the drew part.

Wondering if he gives any context or breadcrumbs with the hot board. I just always question Rabby’s motives lol I’m sure he is well aware that Brad being at the top of the board creates the most frenzy and traffic. Hopefully it just means that is high mutual interest and that’s why he’s number 1!

He has him at #1 right now and says Stevens plans on listening. But won't know more till we get closer to March

I've noticed from reading the Peegs board that when someone usually gives good info they get made fun of because no one believes it and Rabby doesn't back them up

It’d be hard to turn down a dream job.  It’s interesting because both Stevens and May have IU as their dream jobs.  Personally, I don’t see Stevens turning down IU again.  This would probably be the end of that if he doesn’t pull the trigger.
