Well, Pete Thamel went on ESPN this morning and reported it’s down to Ben, Brownell, and WVU coach.
Good lord pathetic.

Bozich admitted it was a wide net he was hearing and using that to guess (more educated then most) . But his data is stale according to what we've heard since. Not buying Brownell....

Looks like Hawkeyes moved quickly so they can secure Ben McCollum on Drake. Another reason I had Brad Brownell first on my #IUBB list this morning.

lol…so true….

If he is hired then don't watch if you think it will be a disaster. I will root for whoever is hired until proven otherwise. We have no idea how any coach will do until they actually play games. We could hire any top coach and it isn't a guarantee he will have the success our fans want.

I’ve said it before, you don’t hire Brownell after firing Woodson. If you’re Dolson, you need an idea of who is available when firing a coach.

If Brownell was the guy, the Fire Scott Dolson thread will be very active.

And not just here on BTB

I would take Dusty over these three.  It better not be Brownell!

McCollum was never Iowa’s “back up” lmao

You keep saying this. What are the past hires in which we've chosen a mediocre proven coach over a good coach with issues?
Obviously you had to be in favor of the Sampson hire if this is your view.
Being pure as the driven snow is how you end up doing a new search every four years. Programs like st johns want to win, not be on moral high horses

We have a couple of candidates who want the IU job and who a lot believe would win big here…the question is, will we bypass them to hire someone a lot more uncertain…it certainly would be the Indiana thing to do.

As I just stated st johns wants to win. That's the difference. Iu only want to win win a guy with zero skeletons.

You're absolutely right. We handed out Sweet 16 rings for crying out loud.

Yeah, that was bad.  I remember that like it was yesterday.
