He had to move on as well. ISU can’t pay what everyone that left ended up getting I have no inside info, but he’s someone I could understand taking a chance on. Not at the top, but one at the mid-major level that I like. Uspshoosier 1

Rumors say he is worried about Iowa's NIL, but if they make a commitment to that, DeVries will be the next Iowa coach. If they can't get DeVries, they will immediately put the full-court press on McCollum. WVU seems squarely on the bubble to me so there’s a chance Iowa could make this happen very quickly if WVU is left out in the cold and DeVries really is their guy

Active coaches are in communication through agents or other reps. Duh. This is every coaching hire everywhere in college basketball, college football, NBA, NFL, etc. Cashy has offered nothing here at Btown Banners but judgement of the fans and a big, wet blanket. I cannot understand why people engage with her so much. She does not answer questions directly and does not really bring anything new. Ignore go iu bb, Silat Player, HoosierHoopster and 6 others 9

DeVries gets the nod over McCollum because he is from Iowa and has experience in the P5 at WVU now, along with an impressive stint at Drake too. IMO he is like their TJ Otz this cycle... they want him, maybe mutual interest or maybe a leverage play. They would have to pay ~4.5M for his buyout + 3M or more in salary. Not to mention NIL. I don't think they're willing to spend for that. McCollum is as good as Indiana or Iowa can realistically hope to do this cycle. Unfortunately for us, he is from there, so will probably choose to stay home and kick our tail for the next 20 years. SlammySammy and moyemayhem 2

Dolson and brad agreed it's not fair to the current players to make a distraction during the run. As I said earlier day after we are out we will make the announcement the following morning. Brad will also be in person for announcement. My guess is it gets leaked to shams night or early morning and he will release to public assuming dolson doesn't leak it before then. For those who love flight tracking look for flights to the night or very early am after we lose. Isaac, I tried to warn you bro! When you said a couple weeks ago that if Osterman didn't tweet news by noon, no one should ever trust you again, then people are going to take that literally. That's basic trolling 101, my man.
