Now that Fran is officially out at Iowa. Where do they go? Does McCollum pursue relocation to Iowa City? Do we get stuck with Brownell?

Someone give us some good news!!!

Time for Devries to get a raise, and McCollum to be hired on a more competitive contract; Goodman to the rescue!

If bb makes it to the sweet sixeteen and he haven't hired a coach yet we are in big trouble

Or you hire a coach who has been to the second weekend back to back times and hope he can build off of it at a more basketball friendly school with better resources?

OT - watching a lot of ball the last two days. There’s too many white guys with dreads….more than I remember since the late 90s.

I think that threshold is just one isn't it?

Is the IU job being in a place where McCollum chooses Iowa over IU and IU settles for Brownell the worst possible outcome?

Good question, not sure the answer. That's a scenario I'd find very unexciting.

I'd much prefer a guy like Huss or Calhoun than Brownell.

Iowa hiring McCollum might force Dolson to hire Will Wade, especially if someone like Brownell makes a deep run again.

News today is suggesting Will Wade and NC State are having a second meeting and close to closing the deal.

This Brownell drop may be just one last bit of smoke/misdirection to get this past selection Sunday.  To get it over the proverbial hump if you will…..If IU makes the tournament,, it may take a bit more but my guess is SD has his guy but just won’t share it until the Woodson era is over.

You mean the Woodson error is over...

Haha. It would be a really good hire for them. He fits there so well.

He's going to have them hard to beat. Obviously an excellent coach.

You suddenly have the power to get rid of either Greg Doyle or The Hoosier Hysterics which are you picking ?

Hysterics.  They cause much more embarrassment to IU.  Greg mostly just embarrasses himself.

And likely even worse, their NIL collective is highly suspect.  They do not provide any transparency (not even basic updates they promise on their website), nor do they have any sort of basic oversight or financial controls in place.  This is irresponsible and also perfectly sets them up to do whatever they want with the pile of money they have collected from IU fans -- take a guess what people tend to do when they have access to opaque piles of cash.  They can easily dispel these concerns with an extremely basic audit any IU grad CPA would do for free, but they don't...
