Kevin Easley Jr entered the portal. From Indianapolis. Had a huge freshman year at Chatanooga before transferring to TCU. Had a meh year there. Just bring him up bc he’s 6’7 225 and seems to fit the mold Woodson goes after. Only shot 25% from 3 on 2 attempts per game but his freshman year at chatanooga he shot over 39% on 4.3 attempts per game.

Any more info on Brooks? I’ve been off for several hours. Just got on the bus to go home...just finished playing Bloomington North softball tonight...

I think I actually like Bradley & Nutall better than Locke on just a quick search.

Yeah the sweet spot for this team is probably a 2/3 with good size and shooting, and Locke’s 6’2”.

I’m optimistic you can cover most minutes at the three with Stewart, Hunter, and some combo of Leal, Galloway, Geronimo. But it’s easier to see how that might fail than everywhere else on the floor. Not because those options are bad, but because they’re better suited at 2, 4, or they need more seasoning

Yea, maybe have Lander and him split the 1 and stew and X share the 2/3

I think you have 3 good choices at PG right now. Johnson's assist rate last year can't be ignored. Stewart played the point at UT-M a decent amount of time. My gut says Johnson and Lander will split time at PG. I think Johnson simply floats between 1 and 2. Stewart could do the same if needed. My biggest hope is Lander develops, and we have 3 guys how can push the ball, with 2 of them being able to float and be be productive at 2 along with some of the other youth. Not sure how Phin fits right now.

At the end of the day, I just want the 5 best guys on the court. I think we're more than fine at PG. If anything, we need a quality big from the portal, maybe a situational sniper for the 2.

That one seems like it might have some legs

A lot of IU’s next target probably depends on 1) do they think Thompson can shoot well enough from 3 (~34% or better?) to play the bulk of the minutes at 4, and 2) can Hunter handle and defend well enough to do the same at the 3?

Nothing on Rupp Rafters, only that people wouldn’t be surprised and is rumored he is unhappy there

Is Stewart a little slight, I think I like him staying in the 1-2 range.

He was considered a bit of a shooter in high school. Like most of our team Archie killed that

Some of the names from 247
SG

Noah Locke

Daryll Morsell

PG

Adam Miller

Marcus Carr

I doubt Miller is an option with him wanting to run point and us having 3 point guards on the current roster.  Carr isn't coming to Btown, ditto for Morsell.  I have no idea about Locke but highly doubt he becomes a Hoosier either.

Remember seeing video and he looked confident.  That disappeared over his time here.  His shot doesn't look bad, so hopefully he can regain his former form.

To me, on this squad, he’s ideally a 2 with more handle than you have to have there. I’d hope X/KL/RP would handle most of the minutes at the 1.

Stewart would probably do fine there if need be. As far as the 3, yeah, probably a little slight. I think you can get away with a 6’5” guy there against most teams for a good # of minutes
