RaceToTheTop Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Nick Pringle, Alabama. 6'10" center. 6.8 points and 5.1 rebounds in 18 minutes per game. 62% from the field, truly a post player only. Also worth mentioning he had one of the strangest shooting lines in history the previous year. He shot....85% from the, making 50 of 59 shots while only shooting 47% from the line, making just 26 of 55 free throws. Quote

Shannon gone, Domask gone unless he wins some long shot lawsuit to get a sixth year, Hawkins likely going into the draft, Guerrier gone, Dainja gone.....leading four scorers all gone. Also lost a couple of potential bench pieces in Hansberry and Sinceire Harris who redshirted this year. The current group they have coming in from the portal and from high school don't match up with what they lost. Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Of the top 50 players who have already committed to another school in the portal (using the 247 rankings), just 3 of those 50 have committed to non P5 schools -- and those were to Gonzaga, Memphis, and Duquesne. Quote

I think he is currently the best coach in the Big Ten. Quote

So far brought in Jake Davis from Mercer who averaged 9ppg and shot 38.7% from 3 as a freshman, Tre White, Carey Booth and Kylan Boswell. If they end up landing AJ Storr, they'll go in having the best backcourt in the conference. Quote

Plus he's a good interview. Quote

I’m not sure how I’d rank guys with all the factors at play, but if you told me I had to pick a coach for a team without having any idea what the roster construction looked like, I’d take Underwood and wouldn’t even consider anyone else. That guy has won with such wildly different rosters and schemes that it’s almost tough to believe. jonz44, IUc2016 and str8baller 3 Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 Drew Thelwell (Morehead State) commits to Iowa. Perhaps their Perkins replacement -- doesn't play the defense Perkins does or score much, but good distributor. 10 ppg, 3.1 reb, 6.2 apg. 44/34/64 shooter. Tarris Reed of Michigan commits to U Conn. Of interest -- U Conn likely could be starting two bigs next year in Tarris Reed and Sampson Johnson. Malik Mack (Harvard) officially joins Georgetown. Nikita Kontstantynovskyi (Monmouth), 6'10" center enters. 9.3 points and 8.1 rebounds in 23 minutes. Mostly mentioned here because that last name. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
