Coach Knight actively telling players not to come to IU after his dismissal, Mike Davis refusing to recruit Conley when he and Oden wanted to play together, Players punching recruits in the face during Sampson recruiting trips, McLeod telling recruits to go to Duke over IU, Crean dropping stink bombs in recruits houses, Archie boring the hell out of people, Fife hating on NIL during visits, now Woody not knowing his top recruits name….

Lmao. That sums it up.

Davis sent Conley a letter that was suppose to go to Sherron Collins

Jayden Pierre, Providence, 6'2" point guard.  Was a freshman last year, 139th ranked prospect.  In Providence's rotation, 11 minutes per game, 2.5 points, 1.7 assists.   43/54/80 shooter (limited number of three point shots -- he was 12 of 22).  Had offers from Xavier, Creighton, Minnesota, and Nebraska in high school.

Gonna stay with the Friars.

FWIW, it looks like On3 is using some type of algorithm to make this predictions -- something called 'spiny.AI' that uses a combination of human prediction and data to make their predictions.  I don't know how accurate it is -- I know that their overall prediction has been pretty good but I don't know how long they've been using this program.  So I would not take the above tweet as a commitment.

As a means of interest, this is the other predictions they have on other IU targets:

Caleb Love:  53% Missouri, 47% Indiana

Kel'el Ware:  Memphis 31%, Arkansas 27%, Auburn 23%, Texas 19%

Graham Ike:  Colorado 98%, Providence 2%

Nick Timberlake:  no prediction yet

Jamison Battle:  IU 100%

Keshon Gilbert:  no prediction yet

Dalton Knecht:  no predcition yet

Chris Ledlum:  no prediction yet

Kadin Shedrick:  no prediction yet

Joe Girard:  no prediction yet

Kawacie Reeves:  Boston College 100%

AJ Storr: no prediction yet

Quincy Olivari:  no prediction yet

Jace Carter:  no prediction yet

Puff Johnson:  no prediction yet

So while it's not a commitment, it should be noted that a 100% prediction for them is rare.  Only 7 of the top 150 players (not included players who have already committed) are currently given a 100% prediction.

Imo it was Battle Vs Ledlum for the Miller Kopp spot. So I think that’s going to be an either or situation.

Sparks for the back up big Duncomb spot.

I'm ok with Battle instead of Ledlum. Battle has better shooting percentages and did it against B1G level competition instead of Ivy League. So Battle is a known element while Ledlum is more of an unknown on how he'd do in the B1G.

That was the story I was referring to specifically.

FWIW, Battle hit 53% of his catch and shoot threes last season.  Would say his low shooting percentage from deep last year was a pretty big reflection of the lack of talent Minnesota had.  20-21 and 21-22 Battle would be really good to have.  Hope On3 is correct.

I looked at his stats for each year and last year was the outlier so I believe you are correct.

That skill is why I think he’s a better fit next to X and Love(if IU’s able to land him) than what Ledlum would be.

Struggle a little with Battle. I don’t want him as a wing at all. He doesn’t have the 1st step to get downhill against any decent on ball guy and he’s willing to settle for tough looks. But, as a small ball, floor spacing 4 in an open system I think he’s a really useful piece. I just don’t want him playing with the ball in his hands. Plus, I’m not sure he’s a good enough rebounder to hold up the way I’d want to use him and he’s gonna have some tough defensive matchups. But he’s such a tough kid and he brought effort in a really tough situation every time I saw him. So, if Woody hooks him up, I’ll need to swallow hard, but eventually I’ll be happy to have him.

Sounds like you're describing Miller. He would be a nice step up from Miller at the 3. Better shooter, rebounder and I think a better overall defender.
