Same. I said 3-4mil last week and heard back from a PU guy that is pretty connected that the number now is closer to 5. I find that hard to believe but what do I know…

I think it’s 50/50 he’s outta W Laffytown.

At some point, assuming these numbers are accurate, you just gotta cut bait if you’re Purdue.

I’m sure Painter is smart enough to see that too.

I just find it hard to believe he'd leave Purdue...if Purdue couldn't match any offers, I'm sure Smith would give the Boilermakers a hometown discount...

He probably won’t make NBA money and is looking at what may be the opportunity of his lifetime.

If PU has 2mm and the 5mm number being floated is correct (I have NO idea) I’d be very surprised if he passes up an extra 3mm.  He might give PU a bit of a discount but they will most likely have to competitive.

Dent to UCLA.  I thought Cronin had resource problems?

Dent is from outside of LA.  Maybe gave them a discount to come home

Purdue had to scrounge to get ~$2mil last year, iirc, for edey. With B1G revenue share they should be able to get competitive with Braden if they want. But like you say…he’s 22 with few pro prospects stateside. Would you pass up an extra $1mil to stay in W Lafayette? I wouldn’t in my professional life. That’s real money.

I say 50/50 , because maybe he does give them a discount. Or maybe Purdue throws most of their money at him. Who else do they really have to pay?

UCLA has infrastructure problems and for the first year or so of NIL lacked, but last year Mic was able to rally the donors. They no longer have NIL resource problems. They may not be UK, KU, etc. with resources, but it's not bad like it used to be.

There is no way he still has a year of eligibility.

He was an Archie target...

He does. Miller missed on him his final season at IU so TKR's first year in college was Woodson's first year coaching college. TKR redshirted. So he has 1 year left.

Yeah, but my guy is telling me the $5M number is tied to extra performances in offseason Saturday night hoedowns in this jug band. The fans really love seeing one of their own hill people succeed every chance they can.

St John’s RJ Luis in the portal. Big East POY. Will get big, big money from someone. Hopefully that someone isn’t Indiana.

Curious to hear why you’re not interested in him here
