Class of '66 Old Fart Posted August 9, 2021 Author Posted August 9, 2021 Seems like we're trying to stay ahead of the curve on this whole N-I-L concept putting out a directory of how to contact our athletes. The second link is to the actual directory. https://iuhoosiers.com/news/2021/8/6/name-image-likeness-iu-athletics-unveils-first-of-its-kind-nil-directory.aspx?fbclid=IwAR1ymUoGexNNrbIOdE2-vjv7TRyXWBemTHHuH7hQncuxyLPEgVrVwlQgS2Y https://iuhoosiers.com/sports/2021/7/21/nil-directory Stuhoo 1 Quote

Will be a very nice paycheck for both. HoosierAloha, WayneFleekHoosier, mamasa and 1 other 4 Quote

This is 100 percent within the parameters Indiana University has laid out and 100 percent within the parameters the NCAA has laid out,” Pankowski said. “Also, we’re not making any money on this.” I love this. Yet, I worry -- 'Attorney' Pankowski says it is legal. That doesn't quite get it there for me. However, give the guy credit--he is a monster IU fan and he is truly motivated to DO SOMETHING about it. Constantly! :) Eric and Ward--if you're on this board ( I wouldn't be surprised) shoot me a pm! WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

And this is why I think we get recruits our incredible donor base that can now do it legally is going to energized. Heck can we pool money to get TJD to tweet out the link to btb Stuhoo 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted August 23, 2021 Author Posted August 23, 2021 (edited) NIL through a university or jumping to Overtime Elite if you're offered? '23 Myles Colvin recently offered a 2-year $500,000 deal from OE. Today I read '23 5-star KJ Lewis declined an offer from Overtime Elite worth $500,000 and will enroll in college once graduating high school. Several hours after I posted this, it was announced that Colvin declined the offer. Edited August 23, 2021 by Class of '66 Old Fart Update on Colvin WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

Obviously a first rounder isn’t going to pass that up. Quote
Banksyrules Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 If I had TJD’s ear, I’d tell him that if you’re not going to get drafted in the first round, and your senior year team has a realistic chance to win it all, you stay because if he’s the captain that starts on a championship team, the money will roll in. He didn’t have any plan to come back for a third year as two years was always the plan. Who knows if he’ll be back next year, but now that he can make money at IU, leaving to play in some foreign country thousands of miles away might not be as attractive. Hardwood83 1 Quote
