Certainly enjoy any game where Brad Davison plays that bad. As much as I don't like the love Happ gets from refs, he's been a hell of a player. Respect what Happ has done with a limited skill set. Not sure it translates well to the next level. Quote
TheWatShot Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 When the clock was stopped at 0.7 I started having flashbacks to the Charlotte game in '04 when DJ White scored and then our clock operator fell asleep on the final play. ALASKA HOOSIER, cappymo14, Ryno6284 and 1 other 4 Quote
Popular Post VO5 Posted February 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted February 27, 2019 One thing I’ll say about Archie. I know we lost against Rutgers in the BIG tourney last year. I know we lost against Purdue and Iowa in our last 3. But we are playing our best ball again at the end of the year. You give Archie all of his guys and I believe we don’t miss the tourney again for the foreseeable future. ALASKA HOOSIER, IU Hoosier41, thebigweave and 6 others 9 Quote

Race Thompson in the mix, Deron getting more minutes, Heck, Smith didn't play too badly tonight, who knows. Play hungry. Green, meh. Popular Post Demo Posted February 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted February 27, 2019 Great small moment. 1st OT. Brad Davison catches a pass on the right wing in a scramble situation. Race has to close out about 10 ft to get to the shooter. If it’s Davis, he doesn’t get there and Davison’s got an open 3. It it’s Smith or Juwan they probably close out of control, Davison puts a little shot fake on them and gets to the rim for an easy finish. Race closes hard and urgently, but perfectly under control. Hand up, feet under him. Takes away the shot and gives him no angle to attack. Perfect defensive play. Race was so good tonight. MoyeNeeded Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 Smaller than Davis but decent hops and timing. Teach that young man some post moves to go along with that toughness and Race is going to be a good one for us. Had a pivotal game for us. ALASKA HOOSIER, JaybobHoosier and Demo 3 Quote
Popular Post DLG3 Posted February 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted February 27, 2019 I really like Race. For a guy thrust into action, he’s in the right place and making the right play A LOT, even if he isn’t stuffing the stat sheet. We need more guys like that. Old Friend Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 Wondering... A couple of weeks ago, a few guys were killing me for saying we didn't "need" DeVonte Green. Are those thoughts still there? Guy played just 11 minutes; and STILL managed to give away 4 possessions and almost single handedly cost Indiana the game with those, and a completely boneheaded defensive play. ALASKA HOOSIER, A.j. If so, how was the inbound player allowed to run the baseline throwing it in bounds? Sent from my Moto Z (2) using BtownBanners mobile app That's legal as long as it's following a made basket or free throw. What I didn't understand was why the game was stopped when they didn't call a timeout. They took a timeout AFTER play had been stopped. Langford scores, and the officials immediately start blowing their whistles and waving their arms like they're reffing a football game. It was weird. Quote

Popular Post Old Friend Posted February 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted February 27, 2019 Did anyone else like what they saw from Smith tonight? I haven't gone back through every page and it may have already been brought up; but I thought he was very good tonight minus the foul trouble. 12 points on 5-9 from the floor, 6 rebounds, and 2-2 from the line. Only 1 turnover. Also loved seeing Phinisee back to his old self. 11 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, 0 turnovers. I like the trend of this team. Might be a slow grind; but I do like some of what I see. cappymo14, HoosierDYT, bleedhoosier and 5 others 8 Quote

It's your Sainthood for Dakich that they were killing you for, not the critique of DG! : ) He really sh@#t the bed all over IU tonight in his 'neutral role' as ESPN commentator - making most on here sick to their stomach through their ears. He truly was insufferable tonight and let his vendetta flare! Chris007 1 Quote
