2018 NCAA Tournament Games

I think these criticisms of the pack line D might be a little premature. One team (Arizona) was obviously distracted and the other ran into a buzzsaw and then panicked. I’m anxious to see where Archie takes IU with it.

Exactly. Anyone that watched the Arizona game saw they were just going through motions. They had already packed it in. They didn't care they lost.

Wasn't a criticism.   Just a statement and a small red flag.  Time will definitely tell; and Archie's a smart guy.

Yeah I agree. As a coach part of it is knowing where people want to attack your offense or defense. Both had fundamental flaws and didn’t react. UMBC hit a few threes and the center of the floor started opening up. That’s a huge red flag for the packline. Much like what happened in Fort Wayne and ISU game. Have to stay disciplined. Offensively we are different than VU and Zona. Zona sets one or two picks and then turns into an iso team. Weird

Seems every team is an iso team anymore.  I hate it because a blind goat can coach isolation; and these guys are basically getting paid millions of dollars to recruit.   Coaching is no longer x and o's...it's salesmanship.  I've been in sales 25 years.  I am not making millions.  Yet.

The Packline does open you up to the chance of losing if a team gets hot from 3. The important thing is to just contest them reducing the chance they get hot

That's why it will be important to have an elite offense also.

So what happened with Haas? I read he's "out for the season", but only a vague, passing reference to something with his elbow. Sucks to be Purdue... they have been beaten with Haas, but without him, they are quite beatable.

Go get 'em, Butler!

Allie LaForce‏Verified account @ALaForce

Isaac Haas practiced w/@BoilerBall this afternoon. He had a brace on his fractured elbow. Brace needs to be cleared by NCAA. IF it is cleared, Purdue will have to decide if they allow him to play. He wants to play per Coach Painter. He will go through warmups tomorrow.

Wow, Lurch has some heart!

Gotta wonder how effective he'll be with one arm though.

So apparently some Rhode Island fan got kicked out of the game for taunting Wendell Carter Jr.'s mother. Bad enough for ushers and security to get involved, she was moved closer to the Duke bench as well.

It'd be a wonder if one day adults could act like adults, instead of overgrown childern

All the people who wrote UK off a month ago look pretty foolish now.

Tennessee is trailing Loyola early in the second half. That region is literally bowing to them. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them reach the Final Four.
