Yes but we didn't need moore. I'm just saying.

There wasn't anyone watching Moore late in his senior high school season that thought we wouldn't want him.  Anyone saying different is being revisionist.  Check his draftexpress profile from last April.

Yep, I'm absolutely sure he hates getting embarrassed. Even after the IPFW game he was like "i never want to experience that again"...which obviously as far as tonight goes, it was a completely different monster. I agree it's just a good lesson learned. I think most of us before the conference started chalked this one up as a loss anyways....maybe not by this much, but a loss nonetheless, which i think eases the pain a bit for the fans. We still looked like a team who cared and tried to fight the best they could, we were just literally outmatched in physicality and talent....not to mention, MSU was in a PO'd state of mind coming off those two loses. Archie has this team fighting for every last second, we just can't buy baskets. After losing to Indiana State and IPFW, would it actually be safe to say we are playing better as a team now than we thought we would?

Anyone who could even begin to lay blame at coaching honestly ask yourself this question.....”If Archie took Dayton into the Breslin Center tonight, what’s the score?”

My answer....Michigan State wins by 10. The fact IU lost by 28 (my prediction to my buddy who is a huge Sparty fan was 25) wasn’t coaching. The mix of “talent” we have isn’t good together. We lack size (even before Davis and Morgan went down) shooting, and basketball IQ, just a bad “team”. Add in a floor general with high IQ, a mean big who consistently gets big boy rebounds, and a scorer who can create on his own and maybe the rest of our players nicely fill out this team and make it good. Sadly, we have none of those 3 things and that’s not on the current coach.

Spot on. No way you can blame our coach for any of this.

How do you know they are wrong? The kid is an 18 year old freshman. We still have a while before we should draw a conclusion on whether keeping him was the right decision.

What's the point Moore needs to learn. Better to do it this year

I've heard some suggest that Archie might need to modify his system to suit the current roster.  At first I thought that made sense, but then I realized that the underclassmen need to learn Archie's style of play.  Keeping them on the bench in favor of upper classmen or delaying their experience playing how he wants them to would do little good.  Duty now for the Future!

Jesus, I am not blaming Archie for this loss but if you think IU basketball has been run well for the last two decades, I don’t know what to tell you.

It hasn't but i believe we are going the right direction. Patients with this staff i believe will succeed but it wont be this season with these kids

I skipped like 100 posts so maybe this has been said, but really disappointed in the strength and confidence of smith finishing around the basket. He has as much athleticism as anyone and has a pretty solid 6'7" frame. There is no reason he should be blowing so many layups and dunks and getting stuff so much.

Maybe in a few years he will be ok but right now he gets pushed around like a rag doll.

That is fair. Crean did though get us going and got us to a elite level until his coaching shortcomings were exposed and he fell short. So both sides were right he did get it going but failed. Let archie get it going and i think he will keep it going and be successful. Hopefully we get romeo and help us get going next season it will be up from there imo

Just out of curiosity, has anybody heard anything about Juwan's injury? It's difficult to get news out here in Virginia, and when I googled him, I didn't find out much -- other than he left the Breslin Center on crutches. And I'm guessing while that's a precaution, it still doesn't necessarily bode well.

Indiana didn't give an update the day after. He did leave on crutches. Seems like legitimate reason to worry.

I read that nothing will come out until Monday regarding his status

From Osterman earlier today FWIW:  Totally get why folks keep asking. Best positive I can give y'all is Morgan didn't have a boot or an apparent cast on the affected leg/ankle/foot when he left the arena Friday. May not mean much, but it's better news that he didn't have it immobilized than if he had
