BGVille Hoosierfan Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 When asked about each school and what they have to offer, did anyone catch that his answer for Indiana was very different from the others...for Indiana he says, "They tell me WHERE I'M GOING TO PLAY in their offense and stuff like that, where they see me playing." Whereas when asked about other schools he says they told me where I would fit or where I would play in their system. I might be reading way too much into it though.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners MemphisHoosier, yogisballin and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote

Uspshoosier Posted September 6, 2018 Author Posted September 6, 2018 I will just be happy if we can actually sell out a game this year. Center Grove is a football school. Last year there was maybe 2 times where they actually opened up the top bowl around the gym. Last year was the most people I’ve seen at basketball games since I’ve been going and there was still a ton of empty seats. Hopefully more people will show up and watch TJD is senior year Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners yogisballin, Stromboli, BGVille Hoosierfan and 3 others 6 Quote
BGVille Hoosierfan Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Luckily I just live 10 minutes down the road from CG and will be at as many home games as possible. I think most games will sell out at home this year. CG has really high expectations with TJD this year...and they should. I've been going to see him play since he was a Freshman and he has made exponential jumps each year and I think this year will be no different. He's a matchup nightmare with his ability to handle the ball at his size and hope more than anything he ends up in Candy Stripes as we expect. WayneFleekHoosier Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 I don’t think Jeffries quite fits. We need USPS to chime in here. I’m thinking a smaller Jaren Jackson. No sure though. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

Jaren Jackson seemed to be pretty darn good from 3, I don't remember that being much of TJD's game Quote
HoosierHoops1 Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 I'm going with Woodson on this one, Ray Tolbert. TJD has a lot of "old-school" in his game. GloryDays and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBannersA shorter DeAndre Jordan. He will try to dunk it anytime he has it down low. He is not as bad as foul shooter but definitely needs to improve that part of his game as well. I hear good things about his shot but until I see it in a game I will remain skeptical. I can’t recall many jumpers other then free throws that he attempted last year. I would love to see his shot chart from last year. Looking forward to watching him his senior year to see what he and the team have improved on. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app thebigweave and IUsafety 2 Quote

I really hope Trayce has been working on his FT shooting - the few times I watched him play it was an area of needed improvement. This applies to returning players as well. As my dad used to say "you gotta hit your free tosses." thebigweave 1 Quote
Stromboli Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 I'd say Karl Malone, minus the occasional hook. Fast, decisive, explosive, straight at the basket. Palms the ball and holds it straight up for a jam that just goes over the defender. Nothing tricky, just going hard straight at the hoop. He even does the one handed jam with the other hand behind his head sometimes. Trayce has polished moves. Fast footwork gets him in position fast. Really surprising speed sometimes. Quote
