Those two could co-exist. I would put TJD in more of the 5 category at this point. His game stays within the 3 point line.

 I wouldn't lay down much money on Hurt ending up at IU but I do think IU will go for it. I expect an OV and if you're in the top 5 for a player of this caliber it's negligent not to.

No I think it's quite the opposite. He and his family are telling people he is going to IU. Schools are backing off of him. So I guess he is waiting till it just feels right

All the hype that surrounds a target's recruitment has got to be a real rush for a 17-year old and a once in a lifetime experience.  Let them enjoy the spotlight.  I'd love to have all of our commitments in place for '19 but it simply ain't gonna happen so we just need to take deep breaths and relax.  As long as we know our coaching staff is in close and frequent contact with a target everything is good.  If the staff suddenly backs off then we know that kid is no longer on our radar for whatever reason.

We'all was spoiled just a bit with the rapid fire Damezi/Race/Hunter/Phinissee/Forrester gold rush of last summer.

Could it happen (relatively) all at once again? I suppose, but that cannot be sustained as the norm.

Not that I've been accused of being incredibly superstitious, but last year, Damezi, Race, and Jerome all committed while I was on a church youth trip at the Alive! festival for a week (July 16th and 17th for the commits, I believe).  I'll be at the same event this year, during the same week, camping in the same spot, so.....

TJD hasn’t pushed any timeline farther out. Unless I missed it somewhere where has he giving a timeline? From what I have gathered the only timeline he has pushed farther out are other people’s timeline of when he was going to commit. When he is 100 percent I’m sure he will commit and in my opinion if it’s tomorrow, before school, or next spring he will pick IU

 Just got this from a Btown friend... according to him, it's the "hot rumor in Bloomington" this week:

The Davis kid from Center Grove , son of Pacers star Dale Davis and likely 5-star recruit in 2019 class , wants to declare for H.S. graduation  early , become eligible for the 2018 recruiting class , and choose I.U.   Problem is we have no available scholarship for next season. 

Surely that can be solved, but, just a rumor.

 

Any insiders with any details?
