Old Friend Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Maybe piped in music, bigger and bigger TV screens, fake tans, and the circus stuff that seemed to overtake IU the last decade-plus. Who cares? Purdue will always be Purdue. They're the little brother; they always will be, and he's never going to change it. When Purdue changes coaches, they get 15 minutes and everybody moves on. When you're expected to be middle of the pack, nobody cares. Yawn. Crimson and Cream, WayneFleekHoosier, Doctor Jones and 1 other 4 Quote
Popular Post TheWatShot Posted May 24, 2017 Popular Post Posted May 24, 2017 We won as many Big Ten titles as you did, son. And you made Purdue look sexy all right...until you played Kansas. And he's one to talk about "fabricated BS," considering Purdue was his third choice and his guardian more or less forced him to go there. Popular Post TheWatShot Posted May 24, 2017 Popular Post Posted May 24, 2017 I'm really glad Dakich was wrong. Otherwise Purdue would be a top 10 team next season and Steve Alford would be our coach. SlamaJamaSisley, Stuhoo, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and 5 others 8 Quote
Popular Post Hoosierfan2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Popular Post Posted May 24, 2017 You know you have little brother syndrome when you feel the need to mention IU when you're announcing for the draft. VO5 Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 That right there is the difference between PU and IU. On his way to a 2nd round pick in the NBA and still thinking about us Lol Brass Cannon, Stromboli and Hoosierfan2017 3 Quote

AKHoosier Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 I was honestly kind of rooting for Swanigan. Seems to be a good enough kid, good story, great player, but screw him. What an idiot to needlessly take a shot at IU when you announce for the draft. Hoosierfan2017, Stromboli and Stuhoo 3 Quote
ebridges24 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Sick grammar and potshot at IUSent from my iPhone using BtownBannersThat is truly sad. I'm sure that mish mash of letters and punctuation make the boiler fans real proud. mdn82 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 I think he probably did it as a parting shot their fans won't be pissed at him for leaving. Easy heat elsewhere and makes their fan push out his ugly chest.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Stuhoo and HoosierAloha 2 Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 I know he was probably talking about the basketball team, but when it comes to the campus and the coeds nothing is making Purdue look "sexy". Hopefully he's eventually able to scrub off the West Lafayette smell. Quote

Crimson and Cream Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 I was surprised to see Tony Bradley and DJ Wilson stay in. Wilson must have gotten a first round promise (and I'm not surprised, he's a very intriguing prospect). Both big losses for their respective teams. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

Mom is in nesting/freak out mode and cracking the whip. Well, I got everyone's decision but these two, which I assume that both are returning since there really isn't any info to be found and they aren't on any mock lists?. I can't find any info as to their decisions, so I guess I will wait until the "official" list comes out. WayneFleekHoosier, woodenshoemanHoosierfan, BGleas and 1 other 4 Quote

Stuhoo Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Hamidou Diallo "returning" to UK after refusing to play last year. Per Zagoria, came back because he couldn't get a first round guarantee, and determined to be a top ten pick next year. Nice recipe for team basketball and predicted shot selection, eh? Calipari does a nice job of juggling egos among kids that want to be at UK as little time as possible, but...oof. ALASKA HOOSIER and Class of '66 Old Fart 2 Quote

I hear the same thing over and over about this kid from pUKe fans, "He's a freak athlete!" Ok that's cool in all, but according to many draft evals the kid can't shoot! "Oh he will be great, he can be taught how to shoot!" Ok, yes they can teach him how, but what if it takes most of the season to "teach" him how to shoot? "Man, it don't matter he's a freak athlete that's all that matters." I am being to think that I would rather argue with a wall, then discuss any type of subject related to basketball with a pUKe fan. Many don't care that their university has basically became a NBA G-league, or that there really is no graduation rate to really speak of there, they are disappointed when a kid decides to stay more than one year (except for Diallo), and I could go on but I won't. I really wish something would be done about the one and done crap. Make college basketball about being a collegiate athlete not an inconvenient obstacle for the pros. Yes, I know that this is how it is now and there is probably no shot at changing it, but one can hope. I miss the days where players like Calbert Cheaney were tearing up the Big Ten in scoring as a four year collegiate athlete. Stuhoo, Class of '66 Old Fart, GloryDays and 3 others 6 Quote
