ThompsonHoosier Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Despite being hopeful and excited about the thought of having Donovan, I can't say I'm disappointed with the hire. Could have been way worse. jrvarner31 and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

mdn82 Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 IU has gambled. No doubt, but one that could pay off massively. I think it's time for IU fans to understand that and give it a shot. Donovan wasn't happening despite the rumors. Bennett couldn't get done. Idk that he's better than Collins, White, etc but time will tell. Here's to a beer and some full Dayton games before the tourney resumes...No doubt. This a swing for the fences coach that could be here 30 years type of hire. Will it work? Time will tell. He has recruited in the Midwest so he knows the area. Not a homerun at first sight, but that is due to due diligence of the obvious. For sure better than Crean with upside.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Hoosierfan2017, BtownBanner6, Ryno6284 and 1 other 4 Quote

Popular Post Hoosier_roots Posted March 25, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 25, 2017 I bet Coach Miller is on a helluva high right now. He now commands the largest recruiting budget in the B1G. And make no mistake he'll have unbelievable support from Hoosier Nation. Welcome to Indiana basketball coach. Exciting times. CR3AMnCR1MS0N Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Might not be a "grand slam" today, but I don't see people struggling to back Archie like they would Alford. Considering Archie was one of my favorites at the start of the search, I'm pumped for what he can bring to IU basketball!Let's get #6! Milldawg12, mdn82, Hoosier Guy and 3 others 6 Quote
mdn82 Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 I stand by it. If you don't even consider a guy that has done nothing but win, you are a flippin' idiot. They may not have talked to him, but I am sure it was considered long enough to say I don't want to deal with his situation.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Tom White 1 Quote

KingPG21 Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Been on record I like Archie quite a bit. It might take a year, but long term I think it is the right move. Think it is gonna be a great long term relationship Kepner, ALASKA HOOSIER, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and 2 others 5 Quote
drewheck Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Gone regardless if it doesn't work. There is no next hire for GlassYoud be surprisedSent from my SM-G900R6 using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
Adillac Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 IU clearly is not viewed as a great job outside of Bloomington. Hopeful that Archie will be great. How we don't attract and hire a coach with a bigger footprint of success is a little surprising. Hardwood83, Hoosier Roots, ALASKA HOOSIER and 1 other 4 Quote
