rebelhoosier848891 Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 I will miss OG. Let TB RoJo and JBJ test the waters and learn what they need to work on and then come back to BTown and wear out the practice facility. That is a place hard work can lead to big jumps in player development. So glad we have Cook!Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners IUsafety and Hoosiers High Life 2 Quote

I think it makes sense to test the process but the mock drafts are a pretty accurate portrayal of where you stand as a player. It's not too difficult to figure it out. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners I suppose, if nothing else, it is a good way for them to get free advice from professionals. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
schoosier Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 If they come back, they better learn to play some defense. OG gone so just the others. Our guard defense was horrible, and Archie has a blank slate there. Defense takes a lot of heart to play and it will now be a prerequisite on PT. Quote
indy317219 Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 At what point are players accountable for results? I find it hard to believe the pass they are given. Coaches coach, players execute or they don't and then we blame the coaching staff? Quote
recker222000 Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 I suppose, if nothing else, it is a good way for them to get free advice from professionals. The thing i dont like about it is we could wait six weeks only to have them leave. In the meantime we miss out on spring recruits because we dont know if we have grants or not.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote

I want all three to come back to see what they can do under a new coach. Quote

Popular Post bleedhoosier Posted April 11, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 11, 2017 It's incomprehensible to me that anyone has an issue with Johnson checking in for NBA personnel feedback and to go through workouts with other NBA prospects. Popular Post Jeff_Boy_Ardee Posted April 11, 2017 Popular Post Posted April 11, 2017 Declaring for the draft doesn't mean what it used to mean when they don't hire an agent. IMO it would be dumb for them not to declare without an agent if they truly have aspirations of making it to the next level. It allows them to workout with NBA talent and get evaluations from NBA guys to let them know what they need to improve on to make it.If you were given the opportunity to participate in a work related event that gave you first hand experience on what the job entails and what you need to work on to ensure you can successfully do that job would you do it?If anything, I think it'll just make someone like ROJO and even JBJ work harder because they are told they aren't good enough yet to be draft highly or draft at all. thebigweave, IUsafety, Dalton26 and 6 others 9 Quote
Dalton26 Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Why even respond if i bother you so much. Ignore me its that simple. Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk I didn't say you bothered me, it's just funny to watch someone who hates everything about our players be so obsessed with them. Plus I can't ignore anyone. Quote

LamarCheeks Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 I know every player has a right to test his draft status -- and I'm cool with that. But I can't help but chuckle when I see that four dudes from an 18-16 team that finished 10th in its conference and lost its only NIT game have declared for the NBA. RaceToTheTop Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 I have yet to see a program fire all of their players, so until that happens the coach will be the one held accountable. moyemayhem, Dalton26, Josh and 1 other 4 Quote

jgries84 Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 I'll assume TB and JBJ are gone. Newkirk/Green at the point. Rojo at the 2. DD pounding the paint (after an off-season of conditioning, which only makes him better) JM at the 4. ? Smith fills in at the 3? That's not terrible for a starting 5. Just need them to play as a team and buy in on defense. (Correct me if I forgot someone or u think someone else could start. It's all fun. It's Miller Time!)Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
