The Purdue minutes were him just fouling and getting Purdue not guarding him on defense. The Purdue game, and then Crean threw him in during the second half of the Northwestern game on senior night for a few minutes too. He wasn't sensational or anything but he wasn't a complete liability either. With us possibly being thin up front next year depending on Moore's development, if Priller can give a minute or two here and there it would be helpful. thebigweave and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

LockdownD Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 I got the feeling that RJ was so frustrated with his role on the team that I would have been shocked to see him return. I remember seeing a picture of him coming out of a game to the sideline and having Coach Crean talk to him assuming about his play. Robert couldn't/wouldn't look at the man. He was over it. Since a coaching change has come about, I could see Robert coming back after his NBA evaluation and being an impactful player under CAM. Robert is a "no bs" kind of guy and I think he and CAM have a lot in common. ALASKA HOOSIER, Napleshoosier and moyemayhem 3 Quote

HoosierAloha Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 From what I've seen up to this point, I would rather have Morgan or Hartman at the 5 in a small ball lineup. They could stretch the floor and pull the opposing big away from the basket. Priller getting a few minutes here and there during games with a solid lead wouldn't be bad. I want to hear Priller's senior night speech. He should tell the story of doing 5 thugs at once! thebigweave, ALASKA HOOSIER and Napleshoosier 3 Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 50/50 for each individually or 50/50 that they're both back next year? It seems highly unlikely that Rojo goes anywhere. Quote

Popular Post cljones1979 Posted May 1, 2017 Popular Post Posted May 1, 2017 rojo is a good all around guard. i want him to stay. he has a mid range jumper, stroke it from the 3, and he can drive to the basket. he also plays d and has big game experience. moyemayhem, Hoosierfan2017, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and 7 others 10 Quote

For those who want to see Bobby Knight at his best beating arguably Dean Smith's best ever team should check it out. Dakich was paired with Alford who carried us along with Uwe Blap, Marty Simmons, Mike Giomi. Now there's an all ,what would you say, limited team against Jordan, Smith, Perkins, Daughterys. Simmons and Giomi transferred and 6th man Stew had to pay his way his redshirt year. I'm ready to finally see great coaching again and Knight was the best. If we get leadership from Hartman and RoJo we will compete. If we get it from some other source we will struggle. I said the same thing before last season. Unfortunately, we had leadership from a different source. Diadem 1 Quote

Popular Post HoosierAloha Posted May 2, 2017 Popular Post Posted May 2, 2017 This might be a better place to discuss Newkirk vs. Green. Green made plays last season that no other player on the team would think to make. He has a natural feel for the lead guard position that Newkirk doesn't have. I believe with a summer and noncon season of heavy minutes that Green is the much better option and leads us to a better B1G record. Newkirk could get to the rim sometimes, hit some shots sometimes, and was an okay defender. Green will do all those things better. Tom White, reconmkd, IUsafety and 6 others 9 Quote

He had more playing time but he really seemed to have nice spark for us down the stretch (when RoJo was providing very little). I think Newkirk making plays is often forgotten because he was not doing this for others or consistently during the year. Green made some plays for others that no one else did and it will be good if that increases as he gets more time. Quote
