I give him all the credit for taking to IU back out of the trenches, he did a great job at restoring IU and yes he brought some very good success. But he reached his potential and needed to go. Where else do you get multiple start overs just because graduation. More proof he couldnt manage a roster if his life depended on it. ALASKA HOOSIER and HoosierTrav 2 Quote

The guy that spent the last 9 years making excuse after excuse for the failures in his program thinks he should've hired a firm to make excuses for him? I guess it makes some sense since in his world it's never his fault. Let's bury the "great, classy guy" bit. He's even sinking that ship now. He's a great salesman and that's it. coonhounds Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Crean is gone thank goodness. May i never see as atrocious game management as long as i live. I pray for him and his family and hope the best for him but truly feel if he recruited and my dog coached the record would have been better. Not sure why i am back on this thread must be the beer new sheriff in town and i will be much more proud of cam i have zero doubt Sent from my SM-G920V using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

We didn't use cody right from the start he sucked at developing big men he creaned kids then complained about having young teams. Dude was a decent speaker but i truly believe was terrible coach. Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Going into the season Vic and Cody left, Cody was actually mocked as the #1 pick on some sites. Victor was a 2nd rounder, but was on many breakout list. Watford and Hulls were gone regardless. His excuses are weak. What do programs like Duke, UK, Zona, MSU, U of L and plenty other schools do each year when they lose a couple of guys? It is hilarious that he continues to even use it. How haven't people caught on besides us of this one trick pony!!??Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app raorIU and Deserthoozier 2 Quote
SteelerHoosier Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Exactly. Ridiculous and it pisses me off that we are supposed to feel sorry for a man who was paid 3M/yr and feel ashamed for having expectations that the other big boys have. Deserthoozier and waitingon6 2 Quote

Popular Post TheWatShot Posted March 31, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 31, 2017 Years ago, probably on another IU board, I got blasted for saying Crean is insecure. This is what insecure people do. They constantly make excuses and they get other people to make their excuses for them. A PR firm to promote a second rebuild...it's one thing to think about that, but actually say it? So glad this bozo got canned. Dalton26, thebigweave, HoosierTrav and 8 others 11 Quote
