Demo Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Regardless of who my personal preference might be, I'm prepared to support the leader of the program next year, whether it's CTC or someone else. The only exception is Alford. His credentials are secondary. His handling of the Pierre Pierce situation ends it for me. He is less fit then Sampson to lead this program. hsrtxp and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

Hovadipo Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Yes. A school in Illinois that takes its Basketball as serious as any Indiana school.Sent from my SM-T377V using TapatalkThey sure do. A lot of downstate schools in Peoria this year. Nice to see that for a change. All-downstate 1A title game and one downstate school in the 2A title. Quote
Hoosier in NC Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Regarding Alford, I'm 44 and watched him torch Syracuse in the 87 championship, so I'm from the generation that some of you said would love to have him as our coach. That couldn't be further from the truth. Loved him as an IU player. Will be sorely disappointed if he becomes the coach. Current high school stars were more than a decade from being born when he played for IU. They aren't going to come here simply because he hung a banner at IU. To me this would be a lateral move from Crean. I don't want either of them on the sideline of AH next year. ALASKA HOOSIER, hsrtxp, AKHoosier and 1 other 4 Quote
Capt. Crimson Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 My biggest worry about hiring Alford.. Say we end up where we are now a few years down the road. We think it's hard to fire Crean. How do you fire a guy like Alford? I know we got rid of Bobby but circumstances were different. Could also be the reason that (other than the Janitor, for whatever he's worth) the interest has only been rumored to be a one-way street. Quote

Alford Bailey Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Honestly dont think Glass would hire Alford. Quote
JD22 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 The interpretation of the poll is not accurate as everyone has their different preference of coach. Try Crean versus Alford and see where Collins/Marshall/Miller fans fall?!?! Feathery 1 Quote
