What a jack ***. He is on the radio in Louisville all the time singing Creans praises. I don't get it. Why doesn't the outside world see that we deserve/need better. Would CTC performance be acceptable at Duke, Kentucky, Carolina, Kansas, Louisville, etc.?

The outside world doesn't consider us on that level anymore, unfortunately they're right as far as relevance is concerned.

I might be in the minority here but I keep seeing people mention the NIT, but I think if we lose tonight we won't even be invited to the participate. Seems there were a good number of regular season champs in smaller conferences that lost in their respective conference tournaments so they would receive attention first.

If we lose tonight, I just don't see any postseason games for us

This may need to be in a new thread, but is anyone attending the first two rounds in Indy? I'll be there with some buddies, maybe we could try to form a mini BTB get together and watch the games Saturday somewhere.

We're projected as a 2 seed in the NIT right now (8 is the lowest you can be). Most of the teams you reference would not be in the NIT if it wasn't for their auto bid, so they will likely be seeded near the bottom. There are still about 10 one-bid leagues that could still send their regular season champions to the NIT, but I think we're safely in at this point, even with a loss today.

A poster on tigerboard (Missouri website) says Crean to Mizzou and it will be announced Sunday night or Monday.

Same poster says we're looking at Archie, Donovan, and Skiles (wut?)

Skiles' name came up after Sampson left too. I believe he has a home in Bloomington. Saw him at Nicks on multiple occasions when I was at IU. He'd be a terrible hire.

Skiles is the most out of nowhere name suggestion to come out so far. So congrats to that guy for that

Sunday night announcement doesn't seem right? Stories don't usually break like that on a Sunday night do they?

Alford and Skiles are total head scratchers if it's true that we're looking at either. Hard knowing what's the truth these days

Crean deserves a TON of credit for what he's done and I hope no fan hates Crean. He dug us out of the crap hole Sampson put us in and actually did make us relevant again. I, for one, will always have massive amounts of respect for Crean because of what he did. I know everyone wanted him to be the guy to win championships and be here forever but it just isn't unfolding like that.

The problem is he hasn't been able to sustain success and it's pretty clear we've seen the best of Crean and his best can't get past the Sweet 16. He's had damn good teams, he's had time but things are regressing - it's time for a change. Thank you, Tom Crean but that'll do.

I also hope that if Crean ever ends up on an opponents bench in Assembly Hall that he's greeted with a standing ovation - he deserves it.

He does deserve credit, but not a damn statue. The article states they weren't just saying it either they meant it. We as fans gave him 3 years to get it together which should be noted just as much. After those 3 he did okay here. Definitely could have been worse. Those B1G titles kept our program towards the top 10 jobs so I thank him for that. Even without them we are probably still top 15-20 though. I wish him well in the future and think he will make Mizzou fans very happy. His time here has come to an end though. I just pray we can part without it getting messy. That is why I am begging him to take the Mizzou job lol. I think he is gone regardless, so I would rather him fall on his feet than his face.
