JSHoosier Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 He did say he's done posting, so I guess he did take his ball and go home. Pathetic part is, after he said we should step back from the "fire him" reaction and people called it out he said he never claimed that. 8bucks 1 Quote

SteelerHoosier Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Why do you guys think them turning down a home game means he is gone? If anything I think it means the opposite. They will announce he is returning the day of the game. We will be on the road so it shields him from the home crowd backlash. Be it boos or a crowd the size of what you would find at a Cannelton High School home game. Kepner and HoosierAlex 2 Quote
jgries84 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Does anyone think that the deferred home game really points to Crean retaining his job? Gotta think if he was staying then we keep the home game and move forward, with a grossly unhappy fan base. Just thoughts. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

IUHAHN81 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Once again if Glass and Crean cared about actually winning, it seems much more likely a home game without students is still a better chance than going to a fully packed road venue. I don't get any of this crap. I'm lost. Feathery and Hoosierfan2017 2 Quote

Popular Post Stuhoo Posted March 13, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2017 I think that giving up a home game absolutely suggests more that he is gone.If he were staying, he would have over 20 more home games and this would just be one of em. To me? This is a way of letting him coach out the season and leave with gentility. theriverpilot, Hoosierfan2017, Walking Boot of Doom and 6 others 9 Quote

Zach Farmer Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 It's simple Glass doesn't want to be put in the same position as Rick Greenspan in 2005 after the NIT debacle with Davis. Kepner 1 Quote
IUHAHN81 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 This whole situation reminds me of an episode of Jesse Ventura Conspiracy Theory. Like IU administration is playing mind control games. Trying to make us believe they really wanna win but ultimately want to destroy us. Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners First off, it's been too long since I've seen you! Secondly, if we get Donovan I wouldn't even oppose a 3 year contract @ Rupp!! You've been very quiet about what you think is going to happen, what are you realistic expectations as far as CTC staying or leaving (with replacement)? Quote

If Fred gives him his "vote of confidence" tomorrow or Tuesday, then it might make sense to shield him from any negative backlash of the announcement. On the other hand, if he is indeed gone, then not having to have him coach anymore at home would also shield him from anymore booing for his last games as Hoosier coach. It's hard telling IMO. Quote

KYHoosier Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 When you constantly cover up and ignore small problems, they grow and manifest into huge issues. We have a huge problem on our hands and it's all on Glass. When you make up an BS excuse to not host a home game in fear of the backlash your head coach will face, then it's time to make a change. This makes me think they will be making a not so favorable announcement on gameday and want to give the fan base time to breathe before having a home game. That could be a few days or even more beneficial for them an offseason. WayneFleekHoosier and Hoosierfan2017 2 Quote
