In the recent past Crean said if there's one thing he's learned in 9 years it's that everything falls on him.  He didn't already know that?  That might be the only thing he's learned in 9 years here, which is one more than he learned from Izzo.

Granted he said that after essentially saying "it's not my fault and here's excuses x through z, but I'm not deflecting blame" so I'm not sure he's even learned that.

I took that comment to be a swipe at the fans, essentially saying the fans blame him for everything. That's the way it is when you're in charge. Time to put the big boy pants on, Tommy.

My son and I rewatched the IU MICH game from last year where IU had the 28-0 run yesterday.  It reiterated for me how awful we r right now.  Yogi drew so many defenders when handling the ball that it just opened up everybody for easy buckets.  Tom really dropped the ball not getting a true replacement for Yogi.  Although Yogis are rare, at least a PG that demands help defense.   Big miss on Crean.

so Boogie Cousins goes to the Pelicans... Does that change AD's thoughts about going to LA? If so does that change Russ's thought process? And in turn factor into Donovan's plans?

Damn you Kentucky players!!!

Maybe. Boogie said he wouldnt sign an extension with the team that traded for him. He is a FA after next season as well as Russell. Maybe those two join forces in LA? Who knows honestly. Things are gonna get interesting though. Im just happy as hell to be a Sixer fan right now. We get a pick swap with Sac Town. Our chances to get Fultz just went up.

And there isn't one coming in next year either. Does anyone really see how we are going to improve next year? I mean, I know we are all extremely illogical to want him gone, but our biggest need is a PG, and he isn't recruiting one.

With the anticipated losses and the known players coming in, I don't see how next year gets any better. Unless, of course, someone can take all the talent we have and actually do something with it.

What makes you say we're all illogical to want Crean gone? He hasn't performed up to expectations, and next season looks like it will be no different. He has 3 years left on his contract and he hasn't done anything this year to warrant an extension. Recruiting has been declining the past few years. All signs seem to point to firing Crean being the smart choice. Heck, NC State fired their coach for doing about the same as Crean has done here. If we have lower standards than even NC State then that's a big problem, imo.

The trend is "positionless" basketball...said no good coaches ever!

I don't have a problem with positionless basketball, but that's not really what IU is doing. What has plagued IU for the better part of three seasons (excluding the 2nd half of last year) is that we're a 3-guard lineup team masquerading as positionless basketball.

Positionless basketball is typically a rim/protecting, rebounding big and a pg-ish type player surrounded by a bunch of long, athletic, multi-dimensional guys that can shoot, pass, defend, etc.. We trot out a line-up of three 6'2" guards and call that positionless. A positionless lineup would be something like RoJo-Troy Williams-Hartman-OG-Bryant.

Sorry, that's my sarcasm. The talking heads say we are just crazy fans who don't understand what a great coach we have.

Ohh hahaha my bad man! With the talking heads spewing that crap it's hard to tell when someone's joking and when someone actually believes we're crazy for wanting him gone.
