MikeRoberts Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Collins and Miller are better coaches than Crean. Archie took a team with nobody over 6"6 to the Elite 8. And didn't need Dwayne Wade to do it. Sent from my SM-G935P using BtownBanners mobile app I've seen others post this as a positive before but this seems like more of a red flag to me than a positive. Why did he have a high school size roster? Injuries perhaps? Give me a break! If crean ever had a starting lineup, let alone an entire roster with nobody over 6'6"people would be pissed including myself for poor roster management Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Even after that, he made the dance and still advanced. Thats why its viewed as a positive. He didnt sacrifice the integrity of the program and coached up his team. WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 My teeter totter of emotions say Crean is back next year. His uptick in recruiting is my biggest motivator. I've always thought last year's championship bought him an extra year. If he leaves it won't be Glass' doing IMO. It would be on Crean. I fear our purgatory continues. I most assuredly believe we need to move on but I'm not sure the stars are aligning just yet.Losses to Iowa and NW would help the cause. I think we might win both. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners I keep hearing people say this, but pretty much insider on every board I follow says they're already negotiating a "soft landing spot" for Crean after this season. He won't be back next year, I'd put it at 85% confidence. nerdvana, 8bucks and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote

Unlike Crean and slapping people on the wrist for OWI's, failed drug test, and other things Feathery and Hoosierfan2017 2 Quote

Assuming all the rumors are true, Fred Glass is putting whether or not Crean returns in the hands of others...and 85% confidence of that happening isn't good enough in my book. Plus, the fact that Crean and his staff are out recruiting people seems to lead one to believe that he thinks there is a significant chance he will be here next year. Anyway, thanks for sharing the info. Quote

Trish Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Crean is too damn proud to leave on his own will and or stop recruiting. He believes this team is a championship contender this year and until our season wraps up, he's going to keep doing Creany things.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app recker222000 and Hoosierfan2017 2 Quote
