I am tired of my team needing a "turnaround miracle" nearly every season... how many times can TC catch the proverbial lightning in a bottle?

Exactly. We know what we have in this coach. He is schizophrenic, so his teams are as well. Every year is the same and the talking heads act like it's a new thing: "Wow, this team really seems to have a problem with turnovers/defense/chemistry/leadership/road games." Can someone tell me how Blackmon can turn in that kind of effort and play 33 minutes??? When the coach accepts mediocrity, the team will willingly provide it.

Make this Groundhog Day broken record stop. Every year it's a crapshoot that ends with a sweet 16 on good years.

We know what we have. We know what we will continue to get. I'm thankful for Crean getting us back to this point, but this is as good as it gets under him. C'mon Fred... You have to see that!

I will have to start questioning my fandom. And the very thought of that makes me sick.

Ive already started questioning my fandom of IU. My wife asked if I wanted season tickets, and I promtly said NO because I dont want to pay for crap. I did make it to the UNC game for face value, but that was a bucketlist game for me.

I know many IU fans that now just keep tabs on IU, but watch other teams like Butler and Kansas. They want to watch good basketball and watching a Crean team pisses them off.

Free tuition for every Stevens forever.
Free parking anywhere for any Stevens
His wife gets the top seat at Kenn Nunn
Unlimited budget for assistant coaches
Unlimited adidas clothing
8 million dollars a year with bonuses.
25 million dollar buy out.
IU pays for custom home.
Custom statue outside Cook Hall if Stevens himself
Unlimited drinks at any Kilroys Bar

I could keep going.

I hope this is sarcasm.

He's in the midst of an Eastern Conference playoff race and coaching the most winning team in professional basketball history. There's no chance in hell he leaves that to coach Indiana.

That being said, last night was pitiful and Crean HAS to go. I just don't know if Glass has the balls to pull the trigger. Especially after he just proclaimed this is the new "Golden Age" of Indiana University Athletics.

I get you. I had to turn off the game 5 minutes into the second half last night. Can't remember the last time I did that. Looked up the score a little later, saw we were down 35, laughed, and carried on with my night.

side note: step up your avatar game man :)

The UNC game was awesome. This season has sucked but I'm glad I got to experience Assembly Hall at its best.

How ugly does this thing get if, and likely a BIG if, CTC does return next year?

More and more I believe he's gone after this year. Next year will be worse. I would expect a transfer or two plus the guys trying the NBA. We will be extremely young and there is no instant impact "savior" coming in 2017. I think the stars are finally aligning.

Michigan game my freshman year with Oladipo and Zeller was the loudest I've ever heard a gym. It was NUTS. I think the almost dunk from Oladipo would've collapsed Assembly.

You have to try, he may say no and that is ok, but you have to at least try it.  Just like winning the biggest lottery in history, you can't win it if you don't buy a ticket.  The odds of getting Stevens may be the same as hitting the lottery but you have to at least buy the ticket and try.

Guess there's no harm in trying.. But I would just rather not spend any time getting my hopes up.
