See if your kid can pull some strings, I'll host the tailgate Funny thing is… he’s a sophomore at UF and if Cig brought our guys to Gainesville he’d probably still root for the Hoosiers. steubenhoosier Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 If people are going to complain about ticket prices and not selling out the stadium, then they also shouldn’t be complaining as the program progresses and we can’t compete for recruits against the big time programs that fill 80,000-100,000 seat stadiums for every game Quote

Pagoda Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 We need more fan interest first. Interest has grown a lot but our FB fanbase is still quite small. Current ticket availability per Trevor Burch: OD - 8,518 Kenn St - 10,541 ISU - 9,865 Illinois - Sold Out Mich St - 4,734 UCLA - 4,741 Wisc - 7,204 I’d love enough fan interest to justify a larger stadium. It could happen… The thing I’d really like to see is enough corporate interest to justify suites. Those can be nice revenue drivers. Lucas Oil is sponsoring the field suites, so it’s starting to happen… My guess is over the next five years we are going to complete redo the east and west stands which are 65 years old. Hopefully IU nails the design. Anyways, this is all good stuff. go iu bb, Hovadipo, ALASKA HOOSIER and 1 other 4 Quote
Hovadipo Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 I don’t think the stadium needs to expand all that much, if at all. The demand is not there for that. It needs to modernize in a very bad way, however, which we all know. They’re sticking “suites” in every somewhat empty corner of the place and while that’s an ok patch for now, that needs addressed sooner than almost anything now that the team-facing facilities are in a good place. CSP Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 I still think you can add some seats and it function well. Probably more luxury seating, but for the life of me, Idk why you'd want to sit field level. Its an atrocious view. I think you could build some pretty awesome "penthouse" suits in above sections 111, 112-- as examples. Like all four corners could house a penthouse suite. Fill in seating around that. Maybe you add a couple thousand seats as a result.. nothing major. DChoosier, MemphisHoosier and Hovadipo 3 Quote
Popular Post cthomas Posted August 25, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 25, 2025 The top teams in our conference have had generations of good/great teams. There are generations of fans who have enjoyed that success. We are new to the party and don't have the depth of those other teams yet. So in a sense, our support is shallow comparatively. Last year was awesome but a significant number of IU fans haven't completely bought in. Continued success will change that over time. Popular Post Lebowski Posted August 25, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 25, 2025 Game week!!!! How tired are you hearing from your closest friends (some of them fans of IU sports) that IUFB was kind of a fluke last year and that this year will only be a 5 or 6 win season? This is the week where it all starts to finally shut all the naysayers up! ebridges24, CSP, VPC and 14 others 17 Quote
