TIME FOR FOOTBAW

We still have a fantastic road to Omaha ahead of us.... but ... I'll talk pigskin.

I'd love to know our staffs thoughts on some of the young guys. Barrett, Lawrence, Boyd, Kendrick, Bond, Baldwin, Ndukwe, and some others. Do a Ponds/Kamara/Sarratt talent emerge from that group?

I'd like to know about our young backers too.

Legit would love to sit in a film room with the staff and get real opinions. Not press conference bs.

Super interesting to me after watching media days with Roman Hemby and Lee Bebee Jr. today:

Both are 220 lb backs, and when asked about their best skill, they both cited the same thing; and it’s a thing that we didn’t see from the RBs last year: pass catching out of the backfield.

Hemby had 10 more catches than our whole RB room last year. Beebe, the slacker, only matched our room with 30.

Ellison and Lawton were incredibly good blocking backs and damn effective runners, though without big play ability.

These two guys are advertised as having a different talent level.

Yeah, on paper, IUFB upgraded in multiple spots at multiple positions. That really doesn't mean much though. I think the Illinois game will let us know.

Beat Illinois and we are on our way to another outstanding season. My main concern is an injury to one of our key players. Overall, I think this team can be better than last years. Doesn't mean a better record though.

I'm confident we're on our way to outstanding seasons. We ain't the door mat anymore and this season will shut up all the Herbstreits. Coaching matters.

Completely agree.

I believe our talent and playmaking ability has increased, and Kamara, Fisher, and Ponds anchoring the three defensive tiers is a massive advantage.

He didn't hold back. Must of been a bad day.

...LOL!!! Coach was talking about sending a message to the team during practice of their poor play..... Someone asked him about that message.

He was trying to  say he barked quite a bit with some strong, adult "R" rated words, to get the point across, but he actually said, "Let's put it this way it was X Rated! lol.....

Did anyone catch that from this clip? lol
