I could be wrong, and kind of hope I am, but I won't be surprised if we see a high turnover in that position every year. But I think that's expected when you land really good talent competing for one spot.

I hear you, and we lose in neither of our hypotheticals, but I'm taking the Julian Lewis route. You not only get a 1st round NFL draft talent at the most important position on the field, you make a gigantic statement in how serious your program has become. Julian Lewis gets the attention of other major talent in his class and classes going forward (maybe even three top 25 OL!) and suddenly you're faced with the problem that any program would want: Do we have enough NIL funds to sign all the studs that want to come here?

Are we back to being a football school? This is fun.

The biggest land IUFB got is Coach Cig and his staff. Top talent notices it too. I'm happier than a pig in poop y'all.

Both players are from Carrollton.  Mosley is a 2026 recruit.  Could just be a case of two buddies going on a college visit together but Mosley only being the one interested in potentially going to IU.

That and doing a solid to the staff, Sunseri in particular, for recruitment.

In the portal era, there are consolation prizes.  Not saying it will happen, but there is a greater than 0% chance Lewis goes to USC, Georgia, etc. and things don't work out.  Sunseri has nurtured that relationships with the family and Lewis enjoyed his visit to B'ton - low likelihood, but stranger things have happened.

Rarely had a talent issue under him. I've seen some allusions to how we had been back to recruiting against MAC schools, but that really isn't true.
